We Gotta Save the Polar Bears.......

.........Climategate, its the new liberal scandal circulating. Seems like some hackers gained access to the scientist e-mails that were manipulating global warming data and changing temperature reading to support Al Gore's climate change nonsense. Now the question is why would the scientific community that supposedly were studying climate change want to "cook" the books so to speak. The only reason I can come up with is that there is a big conspiracy at work here to spread the wealth on an international basis.
........Now that all this has come to light you are still a believer that the planet is warming, then you probably still believe that public education is doing a good job. You also no doubt believe that the rich are not paying their fair share in taxes. You hold to the belief that given enough time the Obama(Acorn) Administration will make America great. I can still recall the Liberal outrage over President Bush's refusal to sign on the the Kyoto Treaty climate change fiasco. I always knew his middle initial "W" stood for wisdom.....

The Bush presidency was the equivalent of the worst disaster to ever hit the United States and has brought this beloved country to the very edge of the abyss of financial, economic, and social disaster.

But, I don't think you are serious when you praise him, Richard. I think you are still after a job as a comedian on comedy Central, and give this very funny blog, I'm sure they'll soon be calling you to make you an offer.

Alfie...

It only takes a drop of ink to make a million people think. There are many stories.

Flirty, the ad was pretty sickening, I agree. The bears weren't being thrown from buildings, they were falling from the sky, hitting buildings as they fell.
The caption read "AN AVERAGE EUROPEAN FLIGHT PRODUCES FOUR HUNDRED KILOS OF GREENHOUSE GASES"

I'm not sure what I feel about it, it certainly shocked me. But I suppose Plane Stupid felt that the shock factor would get the message over.
If you Google Plane Stupid, you'll see what the group is all about...you'll also be able to watch a video of the ad.

Hey 60,

I was listening to Limbaugh the other day, and his whole show was on the lies produced by these supposed scientists. Did you know that some of the basis of their findings was founded on studying the tree rings on THREE trees in Siberia? THREE friggin trees to put out a study so that we should all be driving a POS Prius in the near future so that the polar bears (whose population is increasing by the way), can be saved.

Alfie, your opinion no doubt does not include the current administration. Nor the Carter's and Johnson's.......Ok Ill even put Clinton in the mix since you brought up social disaster.

What "facts" are you able to prove Rich? And isn't it always you who is mocking?
You really make me laugh, with your anti-science comments, but like all of us, you're happy to use the benefits that millions of scientists have made possible for you. Not all scientists are liberals or atheists, life is not religion versus science...as much as you seem to think it is.

Whether we can prove Global Warming or not, it's obvious that there has been serious damage to the planet. That's why most of the world's population is trying to limit further damage. It only makes common sense...after all if a slate is loose on your roof, you fix it, dont you? You dont wait till there's a huge hole.

It's sad that you can't grasp that prevention is better than cure, in this case as much as any other. Because, without science and many dedicated scientists, life would be a much less pleasant experience than we have now. We'd be dying by forty or so, the infant mortality rate would be high too, and disease would be rife. We all have a lot to thank science for.

A hundred years ago it was thought that landing on the moon was an impossibility, never mind that we'd all be flying around in planes...people thought it would never happen. Anybody who said different, was accused of insanity. And look what happened. And...who knows whether, in reaching the moon, they created the hole in the ozone layer? CFCs are dangerous, they can kill, that has been proved beyond doubt. It seems to me that moon exploration has become more important than human human life.

It's not science that's crap...just the way in which it's sometimes used by imperfect humans.

I see.

It is right and just to take "precautions" in the event that there MIGHT have been WMD in Iraq.

It's a great idea to expore the future possibilities of life on the moon should Earth become uninhabitable.

But only "idiot liberals" would believe in taking precautions against further damage to the planet we already have.

The fact is...it doesn't matter whether we believe that Global Warming is a problem or not. Man has altered this planet drastically, especially in the last few hundred years, we are well on the way to destroying it. That is fact, not opinion.

It doesn't matter what we believe...whether we live a "God created" existence or by a "big bang". Either way, it is up to us to nurture and continue that existence in a responsible way.

You can call people idiots (and any other names) all you like...but all us idiots are very glad you folks aren't in charge.

“If we continue to develop our technology without wisdom or prudence, our servant may prove to be our executioner.”

Omar Bradley.

Now there's a man with sense!

No factual information is presented or quoted. Opinions are formed based on the unsubstantiated assertions of others uninformed opinions. Reading this blog is like watching America die by the cuts of a thousand fools.

Dinasaurs lived here for 140 million years and other life survived the climate changes the earth. As far as polar bears their numbers have increased since 1990. When i took Geology we learned that Earth is a dynamic planet and constantly going through changes. There are scientists who say we are warming and scientists who say we are cooling. Therefore we really do not know which one is right. Whichever is happening. I do not think we can stop it. Besides we will not be here to see what happens. Al Gore made millions for his lies and keeps his big house with all the lights on. At least that is what the pilots say when they fly over his house at night.
