Invite to Shirleyjean and Candance !! I would like to invite Shirleyjean, Candance, left wing liberals, and radical left wing liberals to NOT read my blogs. Unlike Shirleyjean, I have not been a conservative for a day or two in my life. I have been a conservative for most of my life. My dad worked very hard to give us a decent life and I was always very proud of my parents and the USA. I spent 20 years of my life in the United States Air Force including a year in Vietnam. I have never been one of the 1% or even rich by Obama's standards. I did enjoy a very successful life and I do enjoy my retirement years. We have 7 , 21 grand and 7 great grand . I would like for them to be able to enjoy our great country, but that hope is slipping away with every day that Obama remains as president. I am very concerned for the USA. We cannot survive another 4 years of lack of proper leadership under Obama. In my opinion, Barack is destroying America. He has surrounded himself with known communists and the very radical left wing liberals. He has done little to bring America together, but he has done massive damage trying to break America apart. The Communists have said for years that they will not have to fired a shot to bring the USA down. They have always planned to take the USA over from within. Barack is definitely trying to move the USA in that direction. I do not agree with every conservative Principal or idea, but I do know that they are the best hope for putting this great nation back in the right direction. We cannot continue to spend $1.4 trillion to $1.7 trillion in money we do not have. We do collect enough taxes to provide for what this country needs. We are just spending to much. Obama is trying to be part of the 1%, but the 1% he has done nothing to earn the status. He is using the taxpayer's money and not his money. I plan to work very hard over the coming months to defeat Obama in Nov, 2012. I do not have to try and convince Candance and the other Canadian liberals, they have no vote. I will try and convince the average American that we cannot survive another 4 years of Obama. OMG - Obama must go. |

Candance - I do not block anyone from reading my blogs nor do I in any way try to block any comments. You are such a negative person and will never agree with what I have to say. Most liberals are very negative people and have little to add to life. I was just trying to save you from a more miserable day. Russ

You have an interesting outlook on political opinion, quite different from my own. I like having those of opposite views comment on my blogs because it forces me to rethink my position. Even more, I am very curious as to what others think of Canada and what goes on here. Unfortunately, being a middle power, Canada gets very little attention. As a consequence, most people around the world know very little about us and are unable to comment in a meaningful way. The best example of ignorance of Canadian affairs is the comments one sees in SFF blogs on the state of our health care system. Despite the number of Canadians who laud it, many Yanks are still convinced we are dying in the streets.

bijou - I do not hate our president. I do not agree with his agenda and he has done nothing but destroy our country. I would like to point out the Obama is not black - he is half and half. I grew up in the midwest. Our classes were always mixed. I do believe that we have a major portion of our society that they believe that they are entitled to the government providing them with everything. Our country has always given us the opportunity to be as great as we are willing to work. It is time that we asked everyone to pitch in. John Kennedy had a great line "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country."

Rusty, I think your country was on its way to destruction before President Obama was elected, and with any luck he will get in for another term and get a chance to get things right again. Its just my opinion and Im not looking for a row (as someone thought I was when I jokingly said I liked him). I wish we had him here in Ireland.

Despite the number of Canadians who laud it, many Yanks are still convinced we are dying in the streets. And many Canadians still think Americans are dying in the streets. Medicare has always been a procurer of emotionalism over fact. BTW rusty, not all Canadians are liberals. Our current government is Conservative. They were re-elected by a majority.
