Whe do we let the 14% control the USA !!

Shock to NBC this Morning This is not sent for discussion. If you agree, forward it. If you don't, delete it. I don't want to know one way or the other. By me forwarding it, you know how I feel. I'll bet this was a surprise to NBC.... NBC POLL Do you believe that the word God should stay in American culture? NBC this morning had a poll on this question. They had the highest Number of responses that they have ever had for one of their polls, and the Percentage was the same as this: 86% to keep the words, IN God We Trust and God in the Pledge of Allegiance 14% against That is a pretty 'commanding' public response. I was asked to send this on if I agreed or delete if I didn't ... Now it is your turn. It is said that 86% of Americans believe the word God should stay....... Therefore, I have a very hard time understanding why there is such a mess about having 'In God We Trust' on our money and having God in the Pledge of Allegiance. Why is the world catering to this 14%? AMEN!! In God We Have Aways Trusted and He Has Always Kept Us Free. We need to return to God for his grace and love.

This is the day the LORD has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it.

OMG - Obama Must Go!!!

I have no problem with the word god staying in our Canadian National anthem since I feel the word god is generic to pretty well all cultures and most religions.

I'm not a christian, but do believe in a supreme creator/god.

A Canadian broadcast media recently had a similar poll, with similar results.

In God We Trust began appearing on some coins prior to the Civil War. The Secretary of the Mint still has the power to determine what does...and does not...stay on the coin.

"under God" came and went from the pledge (there are many, I'm guessing, on this board that learned the pledge before 1954 WITHOUT Under God in it). In 1954, bowing to Sen Joseph McCarthy, Congress enacted the Pledge insertion and Eisenhower signed it. It was stuffed into the pledge because, as we all know, no true godless heathen Commie would DARE utter that disgusting vile phrase and still call themselves red.

The Supreme Court settle the issue years ago. You do NOT have to stand for the pledge (or the anthem), nor do you have to repeat the pledge.

Just because you have silenced a man does not mean you have changed his mind.

I’m a Christian, proud of it and have been one all my life. I love living in Christian nation where people take care of each other. I love reference to God on our money and in government and don’t want that to change. Christianity will always be in my culture.

I’m not surprised by the poll. The 14% of God haters in my opinion are just another sick fringe group. They have been around for a long time now. They were here during the Bush administration as well.

Did something happen today that I don’t know about?

Rusty, I’m not seeing any connection between your post and President Obama.
