I would love to know how this came about!

Earlier this week we were driving back from cross-country skiing west of Calgary.

A couple of blocks from home we hit a red light. The vehicle in front of us was an SUV with Guam plates.

What is that doing 200 miles north of the Montana border?

That's the thought that crossed my mind. A military guy who was posted back the lower 48 and drove up here for a visit.

Saw a pickup truck in Honolulu with Ontario plates. That stuck me as strange as well.

I agree with hobson. My son is in the Navy stationed in Guam. The owner evidently had his vehicle shipped home after his tour of duty was over.

Hi Rentier: That is strange. Not sure exactly where Guam is but why would someone visiting from Guam bring their car here with them? One time Elizabeth Taylor was in Toronto and she came to our dance studio, and she brought her own car with her. I know it was her car because of the personalized licence plate ET*LA Did she drive 3,000 miles from Los Angeles?
