The Apparition of Lady Jane Grey At the moment am feeling in a poetic frame of mind so here goes the first attempt, lolol, M'Lady has a sable coach with horses two or four, M'Lady hath a black Bloodhound that runneth on before, The horses they have nodding plumes, the driver hath no head, M'Lady is an ashen gray like one who is long dead, The wheels go round without a sound as they thr'o the night esteal, in a cloud of light in the pale moonlight along the carriage speed.. I'd rather walk a hundred miles or run by night and day, than to have that carriage stop for me and hear M'Lady say, "WHy pray step in and make no din,Oh pray step in and ride, for there is room enough for thee I trough, and all the world besides".... lolol, not on par with Wordsworth or Byron but even they had to start somewhere. |
