I guess you never REALLY know someone!

I am a huge animal lover... they are my family.... I would sleep in my car before getting rid of them.... so with that said.... my BFF, Becky has accepted me the way I am about animals but she just didn't feel it.... I mean they have had outside dogs... she feeds them, takes them to vet etc but she has never been attached to them.... doesn't want to hug them....doesn't want them in her house unless it is a very cold winter night etc etc.......then about a month ago something happened to my friend!! I don't know if aliens took over her body or what happened.... but she saw a puppy that she fell in love with... expensive puppy.... she begged her husband for this puppy and so he relented and she became the mom of this cute black puppy and named her Peridot.... I still did not quite believe this until I went for a visit and when I pulled up here she sit on the front porch with this Big puppy in her lap....lol

Well, today I find a posting on another social media site with this photo posted.... I cracked up laughing to just imagine Becky tolerating this happening in her house! And she still LOVES Peridot.... just goes to show that people can completely change at any time in their lives....LOL

To accept damages to one's home, one must really love their pet. Yes people can change. It's never too late. Cute pic. The dog looks guilty and afraid of the consequences of his actions.

shuel... absolutely.... I adopted my sister's dog, Rocky who was a pitbull mix after she passed away.... well he had separation anxiety BAD!! One day while training for a new job I ran home for lunch to find that he had shredded the foam rubber down the whole length of my sofa back about a 1/3 of the cushions, ate a hole in the seat of the recliner and ate a calculator.... I cried all the way back to work and prayed for that dog.... told God I wanted to do right for my sister as she loved the dog dearly.... but God, he is destroying my house.... long story short.... he got over it and turned out to be a wonderful pet!! But I had family and friends that thought I was crazy for keeping him after that day....

I love my horses and I'm always loving and hugging them, I just don't think they would fit in my house very well, nor in my lap.

Well my husband's hunting dog, Joseph, that I inherited after our separation, demolished my front door, a wall and the interior of my car and I still kept him until he died at a very very old age. He was mine and that was that.

I admire that Archer.... to me they are like taking on the responsibility of a child... you don't just get rid of them....or if a person just can't possibly keep their pet, they are responsible enough to find them a very good loving home....

Hi Pink: Puppies are so cute, but I hope Peridot doesn't become one of her 'outside' dogs when he gets bigger. Dogs need attention and love. My little Papillon used to love the newspaper. She drag each page around the room then she'd rip each page to shreds and jump around in the pile. It was hilarious to watch.

Hi bijou.... I don't think there is going to be any danger of Peridot becoming an outside dog or she would already be there after the shredded toilet paper fiasco...lol
