Up A Lazy River

Having lived in SoCal for 50 years I grew accustomed to rivers being 2 things - raging when there is rain and dry beds when there isn't any. The other day my sister took me to another of her favorite spots along a "lazy river". The water looks as still as a pond. They must have been around when I lived here since there are many rivers and streams in the area but I seem to have forgotten them.

It's been an amazing trip but unfortunately I will be back in LA tomorrow and back tending to business and bodies of water will be back to ocean beaches and swimming pools.

Looks like a really beautiful place to visit. I love rivers.

Sure does look peaceful. What's missing from the picture is me, in a canoe, paddling up the lazy river!

Have a safe trip home. Oceans are beautiful too!!

I am trying to feel some sympathy for you, having to return to ocean beaches and swimming pools but I can't seem to. Those pics are lovely but what you are going back to sounds pretty good to me.

I'm glad you had a wonderful, memory making trip. Hope your travel home is uneventful and safe.

Spirit looks like a good place to have a summer picnic. If I was a fisherwoman I could even take my fishing rod to catch a fish or two.
