How to Identify A Clucker

I have had this photo for a while but forgot about it until someone used the word clucker today. Since I have been called one myself simply becasue I refuse to be mean and abusive and / or take sides I feel I am insulting no one but rather laughing at myself here.

However, if we use these as a true test of cluckerhood I won't measure up. I have not been able to wear heels for almost 8 years now. I may be wrong but I assume that all or at least most of the rest who have been assigned this title can't either.

specifics aside let's not forget to laugh at ourselves no matter which camp or open space we find ourselves in. When we do we become our own greatest source of amusement.

Those are some pretty ugly shoes Spirit, creepy actually! I have all the cluckers I need roaming around outside, and just like old hens will do, they squabble with each other all day long, but at least it's over food.

Those are gross! I wonder though, if that is how the gals on 'farmer's only' dating site would dress up?

Karin, frankly speaking I've never heard or used such a word before. It's only on the blogs here that I read it. I really didn't know if it was an insult or a compliment!! Dang, I've read now about all what it means. I, for one, would avoid using it in any case, whatever it stands for. Thank you for this blog with the comments which have enlightened me. Enjoy your day Karin and do not bother with any insult attributed on blog land, though I admit how annoying it can be. Lisa.

glad you understand. Language can be tricky let alone when the words are made up on here in an attempt to insult others. I don't believe I have heard the term "clucker" used anywhere else.

You're right. They would be more stable, kind if like a walking cane with a multi base..

I have to admit that I have grown quite fond of my clucker and her chicks. I forgot about how cute mama and babies are until she moved into my yard.

Passing on a tip about your legs. I dated a guy who was a trainer at a gym a while back. He said to wear flat heels for regular use then when you switch to heels for dress up it stretches the muscles in a different way so your calves look good. Keep your high heels for those "special" occasions.

Interesting point. I never noticed the toes being backwards for walking. Shoes you hoe often I consider wearing high heels these days.

I'll have to check that out. When that site first came out I made up a fake profile just to see if they were for real. They are. I set my criteria for to a 60+ man who owns a ranch. All I got for referrals were 40 somethings that lived in the city. Oh there was one local "ranch hand" in his 50's who didn't speak much English. I think the site appeals more to a "state of mind" than actual country folks. Although I am not sure what the referrals might be for the more rural areas of the country. But I did get my question answered. The site is for real and appears to be quite active for the 50 and under set.

Of course all of this was back in the days when I had too much tie on my hands. Life moving along took care of that! These days I am lucky if I have the time and energy to go out to eat now and then.
