Finally The family pool in decent shape. Still waiting for a small, battery operated pool vacuum so I can keep the bottom clear between major vacuumings. The timing is appropriate. The pool was my father’s pride and joy. He designed it himself and supervised each step of its construction. Nothing made him happier than having crowds around every week end to share his enjoyment. He has been gone over 15 years but today is Father’s Day and sitting here in the record heat on his “diving rock” overlooking a clean refreshing pool I know he is still close and my efforts to maintain the pool are the most significant thing I can do to honor his memory. Mission accomplished! What a neat way to honor his memory. I would enjoy sitting there with you ..... our heat is awful right now.... but with the bit of a sunburn I got mowing the yard, even a little sun on it hurts! Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

What a grand, inviting pool. It is understandable your father was well proud of his project and I imagine your house being very popular with family members and friends during the hot summer months. It's really touching how simple actions like maintaining his beloved pool keeps you connected with your deceased father; beautiful :- ).

It is one of those things that is both a blessing and a curse. My grandmother was a swimmer as was my dad. When he was recovering from injuries swimming was a recommended therapy. My daughter, niece and I all did our turn as competitive swimmers so the pool really saw some use as well as demanded a lot of maintenance. Spiritwoman ^i^

I still swim a lot and love the outdoors, which is why my skin shows the damage but I would not give it up Spiritwoman ^i^

When my niece is home you'd have one. Yesterday all there was was the old lady taking the picture. Spiritwoman ^i^

Thank you. Hopefully not for sale. Sis and I work hard at keeping it becasue it has so much our dad in it. The plan for our final years is to have our other sister join us, pool our resources and pay for our own caregivers rather than need a residential placement. That way we can hire people we want.
