It puts things into perspective; it is easy to forget/not consider we are dying, that the journey began from the moment of birth. Thanks.

Very profound Spirit. That really makes you think. In 2005 when I was diagnosed with advanced cancer, it made me realize for the first time in my life how unimportant the small things really are. I think that whole experience made me a better person.

I would do much the same. My husband and I always kissed good bye and said I love you before going to work. One day while I was working he went for a walk and did not return. I have always been happy for that last good bye kiss. Spiritwoman ^i^

Know what you mean. During my younger years I lived on the edge and always felt the uncertainty of life. I've slowed down quite a bit in recent years but still live as if. Fortunately there is not a lot I want to do or say that I don't do regularly. Spiritwoman ^i^

Relatively speaking we are all at this point in life but we need to be aware that we could last a lot longer than we think. Like a commercial for some sort of medication says "I'm not done yet!" Spiritwoman ^i^

Definitely my plan, although the definition of party changes with age. Spiritwoman ^i^

Being physically distant from those we care most about seems to be an age related task. As we wind down and have more time, or finally time the younger ones are amping up and are very busy. Spiritwoman ^i^

That is a hard one. I am so fortunate that I was able to achieve the financial stability to survive early in my first career. that enabled me to go on to do the things I really wanted to do in life. While I don't like the idea of not being able to generate the extra income or not being able to do things I at least have the security of being able to survive. I figure that by the time I am really ready to "quit" that is about all I will need. I have a cousin who was self employed all of his adult life. He will be 90 this August and still manages a small construction crew. None of us is sure it this out of necessity or choice. My Dad ran his own business until he got too sick to do so ar 78. In his case it was choice. Spiritwoman ^i^

I want a Viking funeral. I already have the boat so all I need is a couple hundred gallons of diesel fuel. I will be cheaper than cremation, more fun than a regular funeral and my friends and family will remember it until they die. There will also be a certain satisfaction knowing I can piss off a few tree-huggers as I go out the door. Fossil Spiritwoman ^i^

I am and now I am tired of my live and let live, don't rock the boat attitude toward the Me Me people. The climate control people, the GLBTQ(alphabet people), and Bleeding heart Liberal's who think they know what is best for the world. The more freedom and agreement they get the more they want and think it is their right. So no I don't want to be nicer, I want to put my foot down and say enough is enough, lets get back to the love of the family unit and morals and stop kissing Muslim ass
