Love is totally misunderstood. Love needs to appreciated for what it is. it's never about what it could be. It already is...What it is. Love is about, and then again not about, what you get in return. Giving love is what you get in return, Getting love has nothing to do with love, and certainly doesn't define love, and is not about something you get in return. We all can have the perfect love, when it's defined by the giving and not the getting. True love, or love that last a lifetime, is not about how two people feel. It's only about how one person feels.

Great post, Spirit.  The true test of real love isn't about the good times. We can all handle that. It is how a couple gets through life challenges that will either strengthen their bond or destroy it.Elaine Shuel
