Wondering I just posted a blog that I found interesting. I'm not sure I agree with the article but found it interesting and food for thought. As I prepared to "take the heat" from those who disagree with all or part of it I wondered , do you always agree 100% with everything you post? Do you feel the to "take a stand" about the things you post or do you sometimes just share things becasue they are interesting or thought provoking? I know I don't but then I seldom agree 100% with anything I read or share. It's the "interesting" part and the thought process it leads me through that is important for me. I'd like to think that it is the result of cultivating understanding, tolerance and respect but have a strong feeling that this is only part, perhaps even a small part of it. It's more that I like to think and am able to let my mind run on and consider different things without needing to agree or disagree with them and certainly not wasting energy getting emotional and reacting to things that have no effect on my personal life. In the words of a Gordon Lightfoot song perhaps I have "stayed too long at school." Spiritwoman ^i^ |

That's an interesting question, Spirit. My first thought was that I do agree with everything I post. I then realized that I don't. For example, my post about that tourist who killed that poor swan. I definitely didn't agree with what she did. There are others posts that I put up like that one, to see what others felt on the topic. Good post, Spirit. Elaine Shuel

If I disagree with something in a blog, I don't mount an attack on the writer of the blog like some do. I just refrain from making a comment. I consider this to be the best plan. Alfie...

Hi Spirit: I used to like to write blogs about various topics I thought were interesting, but since I never did C & Ps I was writing in my own words. I found that most of the replies I was getting were just a bunch of insults so it wasn't worth the effort or stress to write my own blogs anymore. Replies like "Listen girlie, get your facts straight stupid" or "I'm glad you got cancer and hope it will kill you". Now as far as replying to other people's blogs, whether I agree or not I always try to state my opinion politely and without insulting anyone else's opinion.

I hate to admit that there are some folks I avoid reading based on who they are either because they stick to one topic and I don't share their interests or I know they only want to pontificate, bully or argue. Spiritwoman ^i^
