Guilty

Talk about not seeing the forest for the trees. We regularly complain about the negative direction blogs take. My inspirational / meditational reading this morning included an article about how to attract positive relationships into our lives. Does this one resonate here?

4. No more complaining
It is said that 99% of conversation is complaining and when you think about it, it’s pretty accurate. Every time you engage in conversation that involves the “what’s not going right”, you lower your vibrational energy.

This is an old habit and it can be hard to kick because just about everyone engages in it. Make a conscious choice when you find yourself complaining or speaking to someone else is, to find a new perspective and bring it into your conversation.

Do we ever do this here. Personally I make every effort to share things in a positive light. However thinking about it I see that at times I slip and contribute to the negativity by acknowledging and validating it. As the quote says complaining is a way of expression these days making it a hard thing to avoid.

Sigh - more work to do on myself.

On a positive note ending everyone my best wishes for a Merry Christmas no matter how you acknowledge or celebrate.

I personally believe that the overwhelming number of negative, name--calling blogs is the major reason that so many of the interesting bloggers we used to have left the fold. I'd love to see some of them return. A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everybody.

Alfie...

It only takes a drop of ink to make a million people think. There are many stories.

I agree and would like to see some of them return. It's nice to get a different view on things or read about something different. Too bad they don't realize that other people's stuff in no way diminishes theirs. I know I have at times had to contemplate whether remaining supports the negative stuff or not. Tough call sometimes but so far I chose to remain.

That has to be frustrating. I know I gave up on anything in depth a quite a while ago for the same reason and also becasue often we put a lot of thought into something and the usual suspects turn it into a battleground for their same old stuff.

I have a section on my personal website all set up and ready to go where I can post my serious stuff but some how have not been able to get around to doing it. I need a bit more technical training in being the site administer and have been putting that off as well. One of these days..............................

As I mentioned to another blogger, I have two goals when I write a blog. I want it to be informative or humorous. Sometimes, as Lulu can attest, I fail at both. That doesn't mean I have to stop trying.

I thank you do pretty well. Even when I don't see things the same way I do find you very informative. Humor comes a bit harder to appreciate but that is me, not you or others. I just can't seem to get past the blatant disrespect of others just we disagree with their political, social or religious preferences but as I said that is my issue. I realized that that is the way things are these days.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, Spirit. Being positive is a good thing and more people should attempt to find the positive side of things, myself included.

I did see the Facebook post. What a great surprise. Continue to enjoy the family now that they are all "corralled".
