Photo Monday - I Did It My chain saw adventure went really well. I finished just in time for some really heavy winds to finish the job by shaking out the remaining dead needles. The old grey mare still has a bit of kick left. I'm not saying it is something I will do for fun but I am more than satisfied that the job is done for the $50.00 investment for the saw rather hand a couple of hundred to hire a man and his saw to do it. Now I can clean up, dress up, spend the money on something fun and hope this kind of stuff will satisfy the definition of "weight baring exercise". Next "exercise" adventure? Fixing and re-carpeting the front steps. Her are before and after pictures of my project (top to bottom). Spiritwoman ^i^ |

Good idea. When one of my sisters and I found our selves single mothers with kids we learned to do all sorts of things and joked that if we lost our jobs we could start our own business as handy women. I even had a pink coverall. Spiritwoman ^i^

Thank you. I can't remember if it was one of the lunches you were at where another member and I were talking about apologizing to our plants when we had to cut them back. I mention this becasue I did (mentally at least) explain to the hedge that it needed surgery to survive. Spiritwoman ^i^

I still need to "top them" but am waiting until after the holidays becasue they are a great source of fresh greens for decorations but that will be a small job compared to what I did this time. Spiritwoman ^i^

TY. This project gave me confidence to take on some other long neglected projects like replacing the disintegrating carpet on the front steps. Spiritwoman ^i^
