Lazy Day

Spent today hanging out at the beach being served drinks between dips in the adjoining pool. It is the weekend so there are more people and activities going on.

There were 2 who spent the entire day "catching waves". One was just learning and kept getting smashed into the sand only to get up and try again. Ah for that kind of resilience.

Nice pic. I looked out my window today and saw the mountains of snow. I wish I was by that beach in your photo.

How fun/exciting it would have been for the boy learning to catch wave after wave bathed in sun and sea and sand, great combination. Thanks for the action shot Spirit :- )

Boy does this bring back memories of watching surfers in San Diego when I lived near there.

I NEVER tried it or even had a desire to try it.

I've always enjoyed being on the beach, you can have so much fun there, just like those boys were doing.

Alfie...

It only takes a drop of ink to make a million people think. There are many stories.

Definitely can relate. I lived in Toronto for a few years. That s word stuff is what motivated me to relocate to CA.

I'd fall off and break something. Not growing up in CA I never learned to surf.

I never have either. By the time I moved to CA I was too broke to take up anything that required equipment, then too busy and now too old and crispy. As it is my doc is horrified about some of the things I do.

well there is reading a couple of books, sketching ideas for new projects, embroidering. I am content to work on less demanding things as long as I get the sun, sand and water - not to mention housekeeping and meal services. Have to conserve Chuck's energy for the bus ride into town for dinner and a stroll. Thanks to epidurals and meds he does have some ok time almost every day.

I'm sure the climate and terrain would being back many memories for you. Glad to hear about south west. I use them for a lot of my other travel. I used to use Mexicana for this trip until they went out of business. I look around but usually end up on Alaska now in order to avoid a long lay over in Guadalajara. They usually have a direct flight for not much more.

I don't blame you for getting away from the bad weather in winter. If you think Toronto is bad, try living in Montreal where I lived 35 years. It's Florida in Toronto by comparison.

I always enjoy watching the kids playing and doing things on the beach, when we have gone. I never get bored.
Have a great week.

They sure do. One little, girl spent an entire afternoon running ahead of each wave that would break and giggling and shouting in joy each time.
