Can't I Just Wear My Pajamas?

I spent the day running around going from here to there getting all of the annoying little things the doctors want us to do these days just becasue we are old. Since a 20 minute appointment takes almost all afternoon when you live out where I do I scheduled everything back to back. Still it was one thing is here, another there etc. At times like this I am jealous of my friends who get medical care at the VA. Everything is at one location. I have to admit I often do not do preventative things I consider unnecessary but this year my doctor convinced me to do some extras to see if there might be something else she can do for my arthritis. I don't think so as it is a matter of genetics and age but....................

Going from place to place for this test and that means getting dressed and undressed repeatedly. Made me wish I could just go around in a robe and slippers - or at least in my pajamas.

Mrsjoe hit the nail on the head, didn't she? you folks in CA are supposed to be a little strange, so you could most likely get away with going around with NOTHING on if you felt the need.

Alfie...

It only takes a drop of ink to make a million people think. There are many stories.

Nah, she'd be way too formal for Walmart. Walmart calls for a more casual look.

LOL!

Hi Spirit!
In my case is the opposite. As I cannot do many things, many times neither to be seated because of the pain, I try to be well dressed. If I'd just wear my pajamas I feel sick.

Walmart is another 15 miles or so away from the doctor stuff , in another town. The population there is about 95% Hispanic so the "look" is quite different from the stereotype.

Nah, they would still arrest us - at least in town.

Yes, my colors would be far too dull add I don't think I have enough extra padding to pull off the wallmart look - but then if I wore my 8 year old granddaughter's PJ's and let my mid section and thighs show, maybe...........

My house in town is like that - nothing further away then a couple of miles , double lot with the second one literally a tropical rainforest. Now you are making me homesick.

You are right about wearing pajamas and feeling like you are sick. In fact when I lounge around in mine I actually start to get a "I'm sick" mind set. I also think being properly dressed and groomed in public is a cultural thing. My grandparents who were from Italy drilled that into me. Even if I am working on a messy project and need something from even the local hardware store I can not bring myself to go in my dirty, over sized work clothes unless it is a really pressing time sensitive need.

I never realized but those people shopping in Wal Mart in their jammies are probably sick.

NOW, what is the excuse for the pants hanging below their boxers? Is that pneumonia???

Malnutrition. They lost so much weight their pants fell down.

Every thing around me is at least a 20 mile drive..so I always save everything for one day also..but I live in my pajamas all the time...never get dressed until I have to go to town....so if I do have to undress when I go there I am still ahead of the game.
Best part? I only wear pajamas when my grands are here but I live in my gym pants and tank top unless I am working in the yard. Them I wear jeans. (add a denim shirt when it is cold).
