Synchronicity

Right after reading Listz's blog I found this.

Sums up my comment to him about how i feel, not about the Ferguson incident, but about most of the reactions to it..

I agree with this, some folks spend the biggest part of their life arguing with one person or another. I'm a big believer in loving your neighbor, as long as Ann doesn't find out!!

Alfie...

It only takes a drop of ink to make a million people think. There are many stories.

Hi Spirit: With all the Ferguson protesters and also the student protesters in Hong Kong, both tying up their cities for months now, to some it might seem that their complaints are meaningless or petty, but none of us can possibly fully understand why they feel their only option is to do what they're doing.

I agree with the graphic that you shared. I failed to understand the connection with the title. Perhaps my understanding of synchronicity is incomplete.
Sorry - It probably doesn't make sense without being able to tie it to m comment to Listz.

Well, that's easy for you to say.....apparently not having any big issues with the "System'......I think we also need to listen to the people who do have very big issues with it and respect them .....meaning we need to really make an effort to hear what they are saying..........not dismiss what they think and feel because it is not our experience.........Dismissing long-standing racial issues as "fussing" seems disrespectful to me.......we need to educate ourselves........ Malcolm X's speech "House Negroes and Field Negroes" is a good place to start.
In the words of another song I can not remember the title to "Let there b peace on earth and let it begin with me. Nothing is achieved by further acts of violence or spouting off rhetoric. When people here start telling me truthfully what they personally are doing to solve things I'll listen. Until then I'm going to stick with life here in my canyon, which FYI, is currently being shared with a young black woman, a victim of a lifetime of emotinal and sexual abuse, my family adopted as one of our own. No, we are not expecting anything from her. We just provide a safe haven and support while she gets on her feet. Her race had nothing to do with our actions. We have done this for others but this particular woman just happens to be of a different race.

I am not as stupid and uneducated as you think. It's just that I do not consider this opinionated forum the appropriate place to discuss the things I feel deeply about. For me the pictures, puppies, kittens and jokes and amusing stories are about all I find worth sharing here.

Definitely not meaningless. My point is that repetitive behavior does ceases to make a point only turns more against them and does far too much collateral damage to those who have no dog in the fight. As I said before when someone comes up with doable, reasonable things ordinary people can do to solve the issues I'll start listening again. Until then focusing on how I treat people and making sure what I do does not harm others is all I can handle.
