Ego
The subject of ego came up in responses to a blog a couple of days ago. Ego is another term who's meaning varies according to our background, beliefs and education. Coincidentally (if you believe in coincidences) this came up on another website this AM. Great explanation of how I define ego.

 Personally I think people have to find a balance. Unbridled ego is bad, but complete submission to other people is destructive to the individual.

However on the context I use ego it refers to hour second definition. It gets a bit complicated here because it becomes intertwined with spiritual and philosophical beliefs.

For me submission to other people is lack of self esteem rather than ego but as to commented to another response I can see how the 2 can be equated. Good to see you back here.
