Photo Monday - Haloween

I could not seem to get the proportions right in this collage but gave up and decided to post my best effort.

The top ones are are my 3 youngest grand and great grand (the little guy).

Middle line is my holiday decorations.

The bottom is a photo of my Shadowfest set up. I spent time earlier in the day retrieving photos of family who had passed, put them up in the alter area and after things settled down later in the evening sat quietly in the candle light and remembered each with memories, thoughts and prayers.

Some unusual outfits there, Spirit. I guess we all spend the night in our own way. That is what it is all about.

Holidays are always wonderful busy times for me as I celebrate with others then celebrate my own. Each of the kids, except the 2 year old great grand, selected their own costumes. The one in the middle is the funniest. Oldest granddaughter created her own. She is suppose to be "a rainbow fa##ing unicorn"

You are certainty welcome. I am used to a photo program that is on my old computer and am having difficulty adjusting to the new one.

Aren't grandchildren fun? Yours have terrific costumes. But I really enjoyed seeing your altar with your pictures and crystals. Thanks for sharing both these precious parts of you with us.
They are. Only problem is they are growing up too fast which is probably why the Universe decided to present me with a great grand way too soon for my grandson's sake. It is a struggle for my grandson and my daughter who takes up the slack but selfishly I am so glad we have him. I was a bit sad when we didn't have any babies for the first time in over 30 years.

Thank you. I'll get the hang of resizing photos soon. Just didn't want to take anymore time on this one as I needed to get going to the gym today.

Thank you. Hayden, the great grand is one tough little guy. His nick name is Bam Bam!

One of my favorite traditions. I remember those past often but it is really soothing to sit quietly by myself and remember each and every one of them.

Thank you. For some reason none of them are into scary things. They sort of all expressed their fantasies this year.

Hi sw,

Great costumes. I think the shadow feast is a good idea.

We enjoy seeing all the different costumes the kids come up with.

You'd love Bam Bam. He is such a guy. Holding his own from day 1, smart, curious and take no crap from anyone - and with his sumo wrestler body style he can pull it off.

Thank you. I believe many cultures have something similar to Shadowfest. It helps remind us of the continuity of life.

We do. I have become one of those silly old ladies who loves to look at and comment on every trick or treater who comes to the door. My favorite this year was a little girl who wasn't quite walking yet. Mom had her all dressed up like a bumble bee, complete to the wings.

It sure does. Seems like just last week I was getting into my grandfather's stuff and creating a space helmet out of aluminum flashing and electrical tape!

Many thanks for sharing your home here, SpiritGirl.

Pretty babies all, a manageable garden and a little private moment of remembrance etc are all that you need to achieve the transformation ... house ======>> home.

Have a nice day, SpiritGirl.

Thank you - making a home is one of my strengths. Interesting as I have made several over the years. None lasted but it has been exciting to do it all over again.
