La Veja Loca Americana This morning I was out on the beach far earlier then I usually go anywhere. I decided to wade into the calm (for a change) surf. As I did I noticed the pieces of broken shells all along the way. Since most people want whole shells I never paid them much attention. But today I noticed their spectacular colors and variety of shapes, sizes etc. Here it was the creative inspiration my earlier Tarot reading had suggested. The varied colored and shaped pieces could be combined mosaic fashion on plates, vases, trinket boxes etc. A new type of art project. My mind raced with possibilities while I started gathering up what I could hold. Later, when I went back to the beach to sun I took a bag and gathered for a couple of hours instead of sitting there reading. People kept looking at my strangely. Some even asked why I was collecting broken pieces of shells. I’m sure most just saw me as another veja loca Americana (crazy old American woman) But so what? This is one of the things I come here for – renewed creative inspiration – and it mixed so well with one of the other things I come here for – the sun and beach. Spiritwoman ^i^ |
