Anything to Pass The Time Appearances can be deceiving. I see a woman who lives here in the park scooting about all day in her golf cart, smile on her face and beside her. I have long thought “Wow, she must be having a great time visiting everyone”. The other day I was dragging Chuck along on his short walk / exercise returning from the pool. She was letting her off for a break on the grass and we exchanged greetings. Chuck said “If I wear a collar can I get a ride?” He’ll do anything not to have to exercise. She said “No need for a collar. I’ll give you a ride anytime, anywhere. Anything to pass the time.” I need to stop interpreting other’s activities from my own perspective of never having enough time to do half of the things I would like to do! Spiritwoman ^i^ |

You (and Chuck) in that conversation convince me that the spiritual SpiritLady has a great sense of humour too. Distant drums ... ( !!!!!! ) - many of us seem to feel or interpret that all, other than ourselves, are happy people but the fact is that happiness is an attitude which, if innate or cultivated through spiritual or mental training, diminishes our problems while enlarging the acknowledgement of our blessings and gifts. Such people are bestowed a lustre that is visible quite like this new golf cart friend of yours. Have a wonderful day, SpiritGirl. & a KOC. Hi spirit, Interacting with other people is great, especially people with dogs, they have a great sense of humour, and patience. I meet them every morning. That was a nice happy exchange.

I guess it depends on the way you interpret her offer of a ride. There is more than one kind of ride, you know. She may have been offering a ride of another kind. Alfie...

"I’ll give you a ride anytime, anywhere." Without details; you would never believe the amount of times I was given or taken for a ride during my 22 years of being single before I met Honeybunz!!! LOL . The beginning of life, conception..

I am sure we mostly interpret things what we observe by adding our personal stuff. Thanks for the good wishes. Chuck is doing well but as all 3 of his docs (and me) keep telling him he has to exercise and eat vegetables - 2 things he doesn't do. Spiritwoman ^i^

I wish alot of times that I had the time to just 'pass the time'. Unfortunately, I dont. Perhaps one day I will, and will appreciate even much more, but who knows? I may end up missing the constant on the go much more than I appreciate it now. I always do make time to be one with nature though, and have daily meditation.

My in-laws did the senior center for lunch for several years. It gave them a low cost main meal for the day that they did not need to prepare, contact with other people and kept them updated on services etc. they might need. The Senior Center Lunch is a wonderful thing in many ways. Spiritwoman ^i^
