My Country - North America I have always had difficulty defining "My county" as like many these days I am a multi-national. I am an American citizen by birth, born in Augusta Ga., primarily because that is where my mother happened to be when I entered this reality. When I was 6 weeks old my parents brought me north to my Grandparents dairy farm in MA, where I remained in their care for my first 11 years. They were Italian immigrants who became citizens but always considered us Italian and maintained the culture. The rest of my growing up years were divided between MA , NY, and WI. Once on my own I lived in FL for a time then back to MA for grad school. Once that was completed I moved to Toronto for a few years, then here to SoCal. After retirement I took to living in Mexico part time. All this mixed with return visits to Europe and my "roots" You could say I am a woman without a country but I prefer to see myself as a Complete American. The photo is a classic that depicts this. I enjoyed both your narrative and your photograph. We are all citizens of this earth.
