Foto Friday Outrageous Oregano Outrageous Oregano My herb garden is out doing itself. This is my first experience growing them in a hot, dry environment. They have done amazingly well. Some herbs are annuals, meaning that they grow, bloom and die. Others are perennials and in the warmer climate do not go dormant - ever. Oregano is one of these. Mine just went crazy trying to take over everything. I have had to cut it back several times. Spiritwoman ^i^ |

Wow is right ... I agree with Destiny! When I first glanced at the title of this blog, like Bill, I also thought it was something about our friend on SFF (Oregano)!! LOL

Wow! You're lucky having so much oregano in your garden. And it looks nice as ornamental plant.

That sure looks like being a great crop of Oregano. You did well growing it and taking the picture to show us. Good job!

My sister grows most herbs in MA so I don't see why not. I'd suggest starting seedlings inside in the early spring, transfer to outside late spring (as soon as it stops freezing) then let them grow. Harvest in fall. Perennials like oregano should be covered with straw or saw dust to protect in winter. They should come back up in the spring just like other plants. Spiritwoman ^i^
