Foto Friday - Cooper the Red Nosed Lab
My friend's dog, Cooper, is a chocolate lab with a great pedigree but still “ a few sandwiches short of a picnic basket”. He has great instincts but is a pet rather than a working dog. He is hyperactive and obsessed with water. Knows he is supposed to go swimming and do something but other than trying to catch bubbles that is about it. When he is at the lake he never stops to rest like the other dogs. His most annoying habit? When he exits the water he looks for people to shake on. He will not shake off the water until he finds someone, preferable a group.

Dogs and cats get sunburn on exposed skin just like humans. When they spend a great deal of time in direct sunlight they need protection. The “red” nose is good old-fashioned zinc oxide, which now it comes in colors. chose red for Cooper.

It only takes a drop of ink to make a million people think. There are many stories.

 My aunt's chocolate lab was the same - a great big goof!
The same with my friend's.

My aunt's black lab was a great retriever. The other yellow lab was intelligent, a good retriever, and had a lot of finesse.

Maybe there's something in the chocolate lineage.

Anyway, we loved them all.

Must be, although my sister had a golden retriever who topped Cooper. If you drove up with a window open he would use it as an entrance to the car, even if it was thee driver's window. Once inside he would grab anything that was laying around and back out the window with it.
