Heck, since I am retired I have nothing much to do so Foto Friday gives me something to look forward to! It is a chance to learn a bit about each other and see some incredible photos. Thank you and Sandy for this!!!

Hi Gay. Things are percolating right along here. For the past week, Sandy and I have begun packing books, and gathering up a great deal of "classy junque", and sorting it into either a trash pile, recyclables, or for our upcoming moving sale in two weeks. This morning I ran down to the liquor store and brought home boxes. I bought out all the boxes that were available at the local U-Haul, LOL. On 31 October, I'll put Sandy and kitty on a plane in Halifax, and then I'll start my trip to the Pacific by car. It will take seven or eight days if I push at a moderate rate. I'm going to dive down into the States in Maine, and head west across I-90 and I-94 all the way to Seattle, and then up I-5 to Richmond, BC, our final destination. We'll be staying with #1 son and his bride for a week or so until we have secured housing. Sandy is already working with a good realtor in Vancouver, and we hope it won't be long before we've secured ourselves a nice townhouse or condo in Richmond near #1 son. Of course, you know how the best laid plans of mice and men can sometimes go astray, but that is the plan at present. I'm really looking forward to the move. My family is from the Tacoma area, and one brother and two sisters still live in that area. So, I'm excited to be going home after 30 years away. And I'll be close enough to visit on occasion, but not so close that they are living out of my hip pocket, LOL. And 1 son's wife, Shuo, is in a motherly way, and Sandy and I both are looking forward to having grandies to spoil rotten  . And I can start playing Santa Claus again.Many thanks for your most kind words, Gay. The idea for Foto Friday was not an inspiration or anything of that nature. One day I told Sandy that having a little photo contest might be fun. After asking SFFers for their ideas, we decided on the present format, and it seems to work. It gets pretty busy around here on Friday, but we love it. Like you, we look forward to viewing all the photo submissions that members come up with. It's a lot of fun, and I'll admit, a source of pride that folks such as yourself have taken to it. I agree with other's that commented about this week's foto friday being one of the best. The topic recreation gave lots of insite to what other people like to do and I learnt a bit about the people on SFF, thanks again everyone for sharing that with me and thank you Mike ans Sandy. Hmm no clue this time as to the subject next week?

Each Friday, members of SFF who enjoy photography, post photographs here in the blogs. Each week has a different theme....there is not judging or contest involved. On Tuesday of each week, I write a post that details the subject for that week. Included in the post are a simple set of guidelines which you must follow. The most important guideline is that you must have taken the photograph yourself. In any event, be on the lookout for my posting this coming Tuesday and join us. Thanks for the inquiry.
