Hi Maria. What a great response! Thank you so very much. First, at the very top, I mentioned that we had 49 people participate....the most ever. And we had 76 photos submitted. That is just great. Another record. Now, I'm gonna sit back and wait to see what other folks think. Once again, thank you so much for your comments. I hope also that you will be able to help Lorna during the time that Sandy and I are travelling. Let me know, OK? Lots of love to you and Gary. Hi there Jan. Many many thanks for your great comments. Don't worry too much about collages. We'll work things out. Just keep posting those great photos, OK? I don't want to impact non participants too much, so I have to keep those folks in mind as we go along. I think that this is a real case of "growing pains". Unfortunately, as some have said, you can't please all the people all the time. I just hope that folks who don't participate realize that we are posting photos for them to enjoy, as well as those of us who do. Put me down for a vote for the status quo. Keep it the same. If a subject is so interesting that it takes more than two pictures do it over two fridays. Collages are a good idea as well. My Banyan Tree was actually 3 pictures that I took and cjc somehow merged them to make one. Photo friday is fun, informative and best of all brings us together no matter what are differences are or have been.....It has brought a commonality to all the different personalities that make up SFF like no other....... If it ain't broke don't fix it! Leave it as is!! Collages if you wish, single pictures if you wish. Foto Friday is something more and more are looking forward to and we are grateful you and Sandy came up with a great participation idea. Anxiously looking forward to seeing the theme next week!! I made a suggestion when we first began fot Friday that we limit the number of entries to one. I abide by that, I think we can all get our point across with one picture. Be it collage or not. I use collages a lot and hope everyone who joins in foto Friday can learn how to make them. Alfie...

Hi Mike and Sandy: Whatever you two do is fine with me. I still can't get my digital camera to work, and for me mastering collages would be the equivalent of mastering brain surgery by correspondence. I was just glad your topic this week was about something other than 9/11.

I love Foto Fridays. I'd prefer to keep it just the way it is -- 2 entries/blogs per person.  The positive is there. Sometimes it's just hard to find.

I am just a newbie in the blogland but what really excites me are the pictures posted on Fridays and how much effort participants applied just to come up with nice and awesome photos.My friend preciousbaby forgets to take her meal tickets everyday, what she has in her bag is her camera and wow she is sexier now I will have my own contribution here too ...soon I will keep myself busy by taking pictures..nice hobby.. than eating junk foods.

Hi there. If you follow my blog back, you will see the basic Foto Friday stuff. Each week I announce on Monday evening Atlantic time the subject for the week. As an example, the subject for this week is "Seasons". There are a few simple guidelines...the key one of which is "You must have taken the photo yourself". On Friday, you post up to as many as two photos, based on the subject for that week. That's all there is to it. Everyone visits each other's blogs, adding comments here and there, and in general, we have a dandy time. So look at my last posting for the information for this week, and join us.
