lOVE'S SHADOW

LOVE'S SHADOW

In the light of day
love's shadow makes it's way
Once upon a time, not a reflection
but a work of art,
A thing of perfection

Live each moment as your last
and in lasting moments, console your past
Regret not, the where and the when
Think not, the could have been

Cast upon me, the shadows known
A shadow dancer, dancing alone
In my light, let your shadow fall
For in my darkness
no shadow at all

Beautiful poem, really struck home for me today......Someone posted a photo in a home-town FB group I'm in.....a photo of me and my best guy friend growing up and into my 20s....He died a couple of years ago, but last night I dreamt about him and when I woke up, I realized that we were in love, but never realized it.......all those years we acted as each other's "wing man" as we looked over the other's shoulder at the possibilities and didn't see each other's heart........I spent today consoling my past...

Girl sometimes don't get it.. guy and gals can be friends..
But there is no way a guy can "stay" just a friend.

Guys because they are guys..have to "learn" how to love.. the more they can learn.. the more they can love.

You may have enjoyed the ride, but for him it was a rollercoaster. You may have not seen his heart.. but what he saw, whether he was right or wrong, he thought about seeing your heart.
