Let's Get Physical...Physical

I read an article about Olivia Newton John's last words.. What she thought.. How she didn't regret getting cancer.. although she wouldn't wish it on anybody. it taught her something.... How she felt good about her life.
l wrote a response.....
"Well there is the time you have and the time you could lose? But the truth is... the time you have is the only time you can lose. What I can gather from Olivia Newton John's last words....Is that she understood that and Cancer helped her understand it. Although most of us don't make the best of our time... for ALL of us ......
It is the best of times."

Most of the responders wanted to blame her Cancer on something else.. and if medicine wasn't so sick with Big Pharma, and profits she wouldn't have had to leave so early at 73 years old.. ????????
It so hard for me to accept this blame culture. How thing would be better...
IF ONLY?
I told my son yesterday about choices.....good choice and bad choices.. and how we judge them.. When in fact there is no good or bad choice there are only choices.
To make a choice one must weigh the good and the bad results of that choice.. After making a choice that turns out bad.. most immediately assume the choice they didn't make was the "good" one. They made the "wrong" choice.. Never believing the choice they didn't make could have turned out worse. Never realizing EVERYTHING has the possibility of turning out worse.
A choice may seem to made about what's better.. but it's almost really about what could be worse.
WE have a FAILURE in understanding that...and never needing to find or accept any of the good that comes from our choices... that doesn't meet our expectations.

We make so many unconscious choices every day....habitual choices. I choose to be more mindful of the small choices I make that can be shifted and steered in more gratifying, fulfilling directions.......

Unconscience choices and habitual choices? How things in life have no meaning other than what meaning we assign to it.
I can tell by your comment .. you have taken self motivation classes and self analysis. My son was in one when we were having our discussion.
In my ususual manner i both agreed and disagreed.
We do make unconscience and habitual decisions based on "triggers". triggers that are based on past reactions..That actually makes a choice, no choice at all. the triggers becomes habitual not the choice. Any way that's the part i agreed with.
The part i disagreed with was that life only has the meaning we assign to it..and that meaning only has to do with the moment you are living it, not past "triggers". To fulfill the current meaning we must avoid the triggers that no longer apply.. Achieving what you want, entails avoiding the things that are preventing you from achieving it.

To me that's where the bullshit starts flying. Anyway i am not here to write a thesis.. so try and figure that one out for yourself.

So your son took a class and I used some of the same words as your son, therefore I took a class and therefore have the same thoughts as your son...... you make assumptions about my meaning based on your conversation with your son and I should "figure it out for yourself.".....Figure what out for myself?...........

You're a piece of work..I am not trying to make it apply to you...It's not about you...Unless to try to figure out a way it could apply.

In comparisaon I was not trying to degrade my son. maybe he took it that way If I said it as another "trigger" but he, unlike you,.. now understands what a trigger is.
Now granted.. I make the assumption that you can't help people who don't want to help themselves.. What i say and do... means nothing, says nothing.. other than what you can find in it. And YOU are never looking.
