This is insanity

There are those who seek the clues..Never really knowing but believing in themselves and in their own sanity...And when thing get out of hands...Questioning that which they once knew to be true. Questioning how they could be a part of whole.. When they seem to be so apart..
It is true we seek to know the unknown. There are those who give up, believing what they think they know is good enough for them.
Then there are those who never give up.. On knowing the unknown.. It is to those I speak to.... in their troubled time.. to the part that make one feel too far apart.....in their sense of belonging and belief in one's self as part of the whole
For the unknown surely will prove
Sanity can only be found in the insanity of the sane.

So let me explain.

If these current times....Don't make you question your own sanity..
Then you are insane.

This time I have to agree! On and off I ask myself, how former sane humans were struck by insanity.

And what of those who think themselves 'sane' when it is obvious their thinking/judgement is off balance? For example, belief in/support of dangerous conspiracy theories?

I'm acquainted with a few people who believe in conspiracy theories and they see themselves as martyrs......they feel that they are being discriminated against by those who don't fall for the crazy theories, like the Earth is flat or jet-streams are mind-altering chemicals sprayed by the government to make us submissive..........One guy is so sad because he doesn't understand why people avoid him when he starts talking about the Earth being flat............

Yes, I have questioned my own sanity, many times throughout my life. but insanity and sanity aren't two distinct, disparate states......Psychologists claim that it's impossible to be completely sane in an insane world......

Sanity is not a clear demarcation.....on this side is sanity and on this side is insanity......our consciousness is much more variable than that.....

So, Cricket, please define your terms....."sanity" and "insanity" .....

We began with alternate news stories......went to alternate facts..... which has now led us to the alternate universes.

I use the terms sanity and insanity tongue and cheek.....The definitions are really arbitrary. Sanity appears to be conforming to standards.....that can change... because they are all not known standards..but standards that are simply agreed to.

I have told you, I believe in duality....Which would mean insanity and sanity are the same thing...only our judgement can separate the two, and the red line moves from person to person and from time to time. Insanity of someone, can be base on a single thought, a group of thought, or all thoughts.
I believe the only sane judgment of insanity requires "all thoughts".. And I don't believe "all thoughts" exists. except in the thought that require no evidence.
We all do the same things......use both empirical evidence and trusting in proven evidence. Science is not empirical...
The world is flat is empirical.. It's NOT insanity
You can choose to use either or both in varying degrees.. and not be insane..
But when you throw in Religion, and faith, and Trump....there is neither empirical, nor scientific evidence to base your thoughts.. The Pandora's box of Bullshit gets opened to the alternate universe.
