It takes a town to commit suicide ..It takes a State to commit murder I keep thinking of the town of Uvalde..and the sadness, grief, and anger.. I think of our rescue the town efforts, the payoff and the guilt, allowing one to move on. In corporate business.. it sometime a decision to rather payoff the lawsuits than fix the problem.. It's cheaper in the short term. I don't want to lambaste Texas, as in reality, it has much more in common with all the other States than it is different.. Yet Texas has a unique history, a unique society, a unique people, a unique way of governing..It's the bastion of how Republicanism should work hidden beneath a democracy and a constitution. It is about wealth distribution, services for those who pay for it. It's about suppressed citizenship, and chattel property. It's about longhorns, oil, and cowboys...It's about Jim Crow and Uncle Tomas. It's about First class Representation and Second class citizens. It's about Texas First and Make Texas Great Again. We have Black Lives Matter, a fight for equality, and a Black movement for advanced citizenship..But there is no Hispanic Lives Matter, or Hispanic fight for equality or Hispanic advanced citizenship.. They do the dirty work.. They are over represented in the fields, in the landfills, in the factories, the slaughter houses, and in the military.. They underrepresented in politics, In Fame and Fortune..and unless you watch Univision or Telemundo....you don't see many on TV or at the Oscars. They are a grateful people in an ungrateful country. The American citizens of Uvalde...have relinquished their rights of citizenship to a State of Texas.. Run by fascists. Not because they wanted to.. but because they were made to think they had no choice. it's not an oversight.. It's the "plan" |

I WAS WONDERING IF THE POLICE TOOK SO LONG TO INTERVENE BECAUSE THE PUPILS IN THAT SCHOOL WERE MOSTLY HISPANIC. IT IS THE FIRST THOUGHT I HAD, HOW SAD AND TERRIBLE IS THAT???

We are pretty much doomed as a country and as democratic society.. It's not a matter of turning Texas to a Blue State.. which may be impossible.. But the truth about democracy is holding to higher standard that which surrounds promises and oaths,, and in the lost of trust in the meaning of such things.. How an oath or promise use to provide a means, and a trust to meet a moral end.. They are now just words, an avenue to an end that does not have any meaning.

I appreciate your attempt to drill down here a little. Frankly, I'm just too upset and sick of this I can't even figure out how to respond. I'll probably never get there. It's just the way it is for me on this issue.

It's just the way it is for me on this issue. My latest kick.. Is the idea of buying a AR-15.. How screwed up is that.... What does that say? I have never owned a gun. Never felt the need. I trusted laws, law enforcement, government, citizenship, democracy and society.... I don't anymore How can I live in a placed with para military and citizen open carrying Ar-15...With insurrections, hate and partisanship. How is it possible.. that I should feel the need to own an AR-15. to protect myself AGAINST those who would cite the need to protect themselves to own and carry one. It's fricken crazy. The idea to solve the problem of mass shooting.. is not about guns, mental illness, school safety. policing, red lining, or age limits, waiting periods, or background checks... It's indirectly all those things.. but the most important is the dedication to solve it. A dedication that considers it all.. and doesn't say none of it matters.. it all matters. For the most part OUR dedication alone will solve a lot of it. it.. Let it be known We are mad as hell and not going to take it anymore.

There have been at least 11 mass shootings in the USA since Uvalde.......in disparate states and towns.......You can emphasize the unique local causes and/or situations, but the shootings happen all over the country....... You think what I say will solve it?... You think Texas is the only problem.. Texas may be a little more unique but.. I don't want to lambaste Texas, as in reality, it has much more in common with all the other States than it is different.. I can't explain nor deal with all the different attitude about gun violence.. Texas is not the only problem.. But let me say THIS.. It's more about the "different attitude" than it is about the attitude differences. This country is not on the same page...and that opens the book on gun violence. It truly doesn't matter what you do..as long as you make it be known, you are willing to do something.

The city of Uvalde is responsible for how this slaughter occurred.. I don't profess to say they would have stop it... but they certainly COULD have prevented the outrage. What would it have been like if this happened, in a same size town outside of Dallas University Park Population: 24,985 Median Home Value: $1,230,200 Mean Travel Time to Work: 19.8 minutes School Ranking: A+ Most Recent Annual Number of Property Crimes: 302 Most Recent Annual Number of Violent Crimes: 5 This event would Never have occurred in the same way in University city. Uvalde....A city that 70% Hispanic....It is so evident to me that there is no "oversight" in the town.. that isn't overseen by White Republicans and the State of Texas.. discounting the lives of those Hispanics who live their. How can the State of Texas fix itself? When the Hispanic citizens of Uvalde can't? Taken from the time of slavery....The government has become the new paid "overseer" of State's people property The City of Uvalde is committing suicide..the State of Texas is condoning murder..In part of the parts. The sheep sent to the slaughter or the sheep to be sheered. What amazed me about those kids was their dreams and aspirations....Like they ever really has a chance. The death of innocence always seems to come sooner or later. From those kids it's sooner for me it's later... From Sandy Hook to Uvalde.. It is both an affirmation and confirmation. We have been invaded by cockroaches..That are no longer satisfied with living hidden in our "structure"..And if it's true that they will inherit the earth as the lone survivors..So be it! they are welcome to it, as they will eventually feast upon themselves.
