Decency lilium6........ another note, I would express my sincere condolences on the recent passing of former US State Secretary, Colin Powell. He struck me as a decent individual who strived do his best; not more can one ask of another. May he rest in peace. |

I find it interesting you brought up Colin Powell.. and what you said about him. We don't need to dissect individuals..to define justification for their good or bad. Using just a small part to define the whole. How it should just come down to a person decency, and our trust that, that allows us to give them.. It should be easy to determine if a person is decent..Honesty and integrity.. empathy and compassion. And having the belief that most people are as decent as they are... Even believing the people they don't know are decent. Decent people express their views to include a decent world. They trust before the distrust.. They love before they hate. People say we are built in God's image.. or have been more influenced by the devil.....This makes it an impossible task to become decent...when good and evil are the only choices The decent believe others are built in the same image as they are built. It's really easy to measure a person's decency..as it is to measure your own. It's measured by how many people you trust, and how many people trust you.
