Power and Wealth

People who try to gain POWER?

People who try to gain wealth?

We have understood the purpose of gaining wealth.. We have to a greater extent permitted one's "How" in making money...
For those who lacked it..They dreamed of the ability to get it., there was both a jealousy and a reverence for those who had it.. A conflict that found itself defined by wealth.

We all knew there was more to it..Not only in the how one acquired wealth but in the why?
money was the objective, but for those who had it.. there was a lot more to it than just money. We realized the power of money.. wasn't just about the ability to buy things
It's maybe, what people who didn't have it, wanted it for..But what about the people who already had it?
We got an idea that money not only represented the power to buy things, but also to DO things.. As we got older, we began to understand money wasn't all it was cracked up to be.. It couldn't buy happiness
People who acquired it, never understood that.. money could buy them happiness.
Not in buying things and doing thing, but the POWER of money.....Through both the jealousy and reverence others gave them
So for them it changed also.... for them power became happiness, and money was just tool to fulfill that purpose. money stopped becoming the objective and POWER took over.

The powerless didn't understand it.... money was the reverence money was the jealousy..Not the power.. those who had it, got to third base and where trying to bring it home..those who didn't have it, never even got to first base..most were still rooting from the stands about the "money"
money, for those who had it, became for the sole purpose of bringing it home

We challenge them with HOW much money does a person need?.. We never challenge them with how much POWER does a person need.
The Power to earn money..has become more about the POWER than the money

It not the money that corrupts, but the Power that corrupts. TAKING POWER to bringing it home ALWAYS CORRUPTS

leaf asked , in the last twenty years what has affected you the most?

That's easy for me... Trump

Trump destroyed the castle I had build...about people and the ways of the world..He tore down my idealism, The walls, I had built to protect me from reality.
He showed me, the EVIL that could destroy me. He showed me how EVIL could win,

History could never really explain it, to me...Nazi's and Slavery. Wars and nationalism, The fall of great nations, kings, communism, and maybe autocracies?
Genocide, Religious Crusades and hatred...Why America does what it does, always in conflict. and maybe the death of our own Democracy
How could it happen?
Now I know.

Leaf.. i know you think.. I say two different things..

but someone showing me how....and how that could happen are two different things

This Trump event is over. I have no fear of it's resurrection.. However it's failure, doesn't preclude the possibility of it's success up the road.. but it will be a different road.

We have a choice to prepare for that or not.. It's all depend on how we deal with Trump's failure, not our own success.

Republican talk about increasing their taxation.. redistributing their money..having to be the one's who pay for our government that overreaches, and abuses the money they get from them

Seriously you buy that?

Democracy, equality, and voting.. What the hell do you think that means to them?

IT'S NOT ABOUT OUR DEMOCRACY, AND NEVER HAS BEEN

IT'S NOT ABOUT THE MONEY.. IT'S ABOUT THE POWER.

It's about the POWER , they have earned.
The POWER, that you want to take from them
And the POWER you HAVEN"T earned yet,
Democracy can't give you that...they won't let it

They will, however allow you to continue to confuse MONEY and POWER.
You give them far more reign about the Money.

Don't be fooled , by Liberal who believe MONEY corrupts....Of course the irony is that Money is a nothing burger..It's just paper. that we agree is something else
it's that's "something else" that is the POWER

Trump only ability to succeed, was his feeding the beast about MONEY and POWER
But don't BE CONFUSED.... they are two different things.
it just amazes me.. how we allow ourselves to be hoodwinked.

To me, the biggest tragedy of Capitalism is that the wealthy set the standard for happiness.........

Capitalism is akin to slavery to capitalists.
You work for the capitalist who decides what you are allowed to have for your labor. You better be happy with , food , clothing & a roof over your head & a car. Some do not get that.
EXCEPT The capitalists throw people away when they are old----- can't work or need medical care.

If you work for someone else you have no power----capitalists killed off most labor unions that provided power -----but of course people talk against unions ----thinking unions are corrupt and capitalist masters ARE NOT.LOL

Yes every peon out there is LUCKY to have the job they give them. How fortunate!!!

The only way to power & real happiness is to have money that produces your income rather than selling your time to someone else.

A person can inherit it or bare down when young & work 2 or 3 jobs until he or she reaches the higher plateau or be beholden to someone else to determine ones fate.

Most never reach a point of their money making their living for them because they are content with a boss, paycheck, and an annual vacation to get away from the life they can hardly tolerate.

Then retirement sneaks up on us. LOL
What do we do now??? LOL
I should have saved more money & vacationed less. LOLOL

Cruel but that is the way it is.
I'm just happy to have made it this far with one vacation. LOL
I'm enjoying the hell out of life while it lasts. LOL
Party On!

i talk about using labels to describe people..

Capitalism is an idealistic system , just like communism.

Capitalism is not the culprit.. People are.. no matter the from of economics.. they will do the same thing.
The problem with capitalism as opposed to communism is not the economic form but the government form
Capitalism is based on freedom.. It's a lot worse. because the freedom people have...
allows them to be who they are.... It's the price we pay for our own freedom..giving it to others who will take advantage of US and their own freedom..
When really gets bad, like it is today.. Is you are thought to be stupid if you don't do it.

I think I now know what they meant by applied economics & the Law Of Diminishing Utility. Anyone who lives contrary to that Law will be OK in old age. We had this old college professor who could not remember what he assigned for study the day before so he would drill us on the Law Of Diminishing Utility every day. LOL
The most valuable lectures I learned in college. LOL
Party On!

I answered that question from the list coming from USA Today. However, broadening the scope I would have to agree...it's Trump by a country mile.

Capitalism is said to offer opportunity for people to get ahead in life.
It is true. But you must get ahead enough to have people work for YOU because you have investments and capital. At that point YOU are a capitalist. Otherwise you are a worker comparable to many other systems in which you get what you are permitted to have.

I know what I am talking about---I have LIVED both sides. LOL
I started from nothing----worked long hours at more than one job while having a bunch of cows making $$ when I did sleep. LOL
Started a small part time business in a small rented building with a government tax break---which grew into a full time enterprise that did well for a small town country boy transplanted in the city. LOL
I was a capitalist for more than 30 years
When the kids could have taken the business over and grown in into something even bigger which they were educated to do---they preferred to work a 40 hour week for a capitalist so I sold it all out & now here I am bitching about those capitalists.
I did save back my old tractor. I'm not sure which one will kick out first---me or my tractor. LOL
Party On!
