Power Corrupts I wrote this leaf about his desire to educated people on what's happening.... I don't see how we can educate people about this. How can anyone not already know? I believe what you may perceive can't happen.. Republican in their attempt to take over.. can't carry through it.. the more they succeed the more educated we become. It's so typical, nowadays, to finally become educated when it's too late.. we will struggle to put Humpty Dumpty back again.. and regret that we didn't prevent the fall. We should have written a book of what not to do.. HOW TO INFLUENCE, WITHOUT MAKING AN ENEMY.. Whether it be militarily, or economic sanctions, or cyber....We never really learned the premise of our democracy.. control needs to be given, not taken. There a difference between foreign intervention and foreign support.. both in the negative and the positive. There is a new world revolution going on..and "supporting" our downfall is it's only road to success. Khrushchev once banged on the table.. and knew HOW it was going to happen. What the Republican are to US .. we are to the rest of the world.. the Lies, the hypocrisy, and our lack or integrity...Greed and self serving....and hatred.. the world is tired of eating our crumbs...We no longer deserve what we have but still believe we can have it all, and take it all.. Our day of comeuppance has arrived. Some of Us understand how Trump should have been a wake-up call to US.. we try to educate the rest of Us about it..but the alarm still goes off, and we still haven woken up yet But the rest of world heard the alarm..and woke up. For them, it's now a win/win situation, as they get to watch Us destroy ourselves. You can see what the Republican are doing..this abortion thing today, voting control, insurrection, violence, nationalism, racism, TAKING control, control and control.. You think it's should be about preventing their success.. I believe their success can't happen.. What has happened.....From Us not nipping it in the bud,..It exposes US to the rest of world .....Who we were, Who we are, and who we will try to become... To them.. it no longer matters what they do.. It's win/won situation..our failure is guaranteed... so is their success.. Chaos is a ladder.. where nobody gets to reach the top and rightfully so This is not a new idea.. it was first written in the fifteenth century MACHIAVELLI’S dictum, ‘Power corrupts; and absolute power corrupts absolutely’, has been validated by history and current events. Corrupt entities collapse eventually. Great empires have been destroyed by corruption. Corrupt leaders have stalled the development of poor nations. The idea of corruption goes to both a Leader and a People. When a people become corrupt...... |

Since Machiavelli wrote in the 15th century .. I imagine our forefathers had read him.. Our forefather were really insightful and foresighted.. But, I wonder if they really knew what their and then our success would bring. That we would be incapable of becoming anything more than any other "Great Nation." they had known.. That idealism can't withstand the test of time....Since it's power over people is God given, and not Man created.

Leaf.. you think all this stuff matters? You think you have control over it? You think you can change it? It's all a matter of evolution....don't think of it, as the way it shouldn't be Think of it, as the way it has to be. All the kings horses and all the king's men.... STILL can't put "Trumpty Dumpty" back again I have no doubt That the truth will win out...maybe not all the time.. But every time. As TX would say... Party On!

You want to create entities with labels.. like the use of the word government, and New World Order It's not about government... it's about people....The label doesn't work. We created political parties with labels, when it's not about political parties.. it's about people.. you are wrong to believe it's some sort of conspiracy.. it's not a conspiracy.. it's about people. Yes it is a manipulation, not a manipulation they are doing, but manipulation you're doing to yourself you said..."I'd be shot for insurrection".. that means to me.. you don't have a clue about what I am talking about..that's the Chaos, that's the conspiracy, that's the control. We are THEM. Of course, you don't understand, It's not about Them and US .. it's about people. We are people.

I see you moved the debate...so here's my response. As you know I too have been expressing alarm ever since Trump entered the race for the presidency. As a study of the Nazi's rise to power I immediately recognized the dangers we were going to face with the emergence of 'fake news'. I suppose manipulation of the courts was where I first grew seriously concerned. Shutting down the government was of course frustrating and quite damaging actually. Tug of wars over the debt limit also signaled trouble. Then we got to the 'Hastert' rule, that prevented House votes unless legislation had the support of the majority. We had seriously lost our way with that nuttiness. They followed that up by reeling in earmarks and bi-partisanship was dead. It's been a downhill slide ever since. Filibuster abuse and ultimately refusing to allow even a vote to fill a Supreme Court vacancy. It's all been about control and you can point to any and all of the above as 'the' culprit and its hard to argue otherwise. What is happening here now, in my opinion, is the exposure, by default, of the 'hidden' agenda. When I say I can't predict how things ultimately materialize, that's because I also can't pinpoint whether, and how, the hands of foreign influence play a part here. I'm not talking about the pesky, and deadly interference of terrorists. I'm not talking about nation state objectives of world dominance either, or of revenge or even of desperation meddling for economic reasons. There is one unmistakable new reality when it comes to American politicians at all levels. That is that nearly everyone finds themselves concluding their years of public service in some form of disgrace. It happens in non-democratic countries too, but, the heavy hands of authoritarian rule postpones the inevitability, while preserving capacity to erect a wall of protection from litigation. The runner is on 2nd base Cricket and he just got the steal sign as America descends into the dangerous world of lawlessness. This latest abortion ruling is as serious as a heart attack. The runner has take a very BIG lead and the catcher has called for a fast ball on a full count.

This is about one thing and one thing only. The republican party is just done with democracy. They do not want to compete, they aren't interested in elections and they aren't willing to engage in complex governance. Democracy, and even capitalism, doesn't work for them anymore. Their mission is to end our form of representative government. They are not telling the truth because they've made up their mind and they are willing to live with the ashes for the ultimate reward - to impose will and be done with compromise forever. They are willing to burn it all down to get what they want. In the next debate let's talk about what ends up in ashes.

But the bottom line here is that we are already in the late innings of the game we've been playing for years now. This isn't a new game. We need a relief pitcher, and we need him now. Who is coming to the plate is the question.

I have to think about this. But right now the only person in America who can put their foot down and stop this shit is Nancy Pelosi. I would start with moving on votes of expulsion. Would it create chaos - yep, but the truth often does.

The Administration has to deliver to and this means the AG may have to issue indictments. The hard part is taking down Fox News. Americans are going to have to take down advertisers who are empowering those sowing the seeds of insurrection and racism. That just has to end before violence becomes pervasive and difficult for local authorities to control.

Am I optimistic ...not really. President Biden has to continue his aggressive efforts to solve any and every problem. He's got a lot of work to do.

Well, i know you "get it" But i think, the worse it gets the better the possible outcome.. One way or another it will all work out like it suppose to...Even if it kills Us all. i believe I have control over my destiny.. What i don't believe it that humans and humanity has control over it's destiny. It's fate is written in stone... We just haven't been read the last chapter yet.
