Why no Vaccines.?. Of course, for most there is a risk benefit assessment.. But there is an underlying reason for not taking the vaccine, despite the risk/benefit.. One can apply the risk/benefit to other things..beside the vaccine.. that void one's reasoning.. No matter how much we accentuate the benefits, for most, it won't wor They have been there done that..But WHY? Most of the people, i know..who are NOT vaccinated.. appear to be more into "control" than they are benefits. they apply their lack of control of other aspects, especially government.. To the vaccine.. they see the vaccine as government control. It's more a revolt against government control....almost everyone of them doesn't believe in our government. They feel they have been burnt too much by government control.. For most of them government control is a "conspiracy" against them. White Supremacists, religious fanatics, pro lifers, climate deniers. even some people of color.. They see our government conspiring against them. Most are Trump supporters for the same reason.. Vaccines and Trump hold the same ideas... they epitomize... the fight against a society and government they don't support... The action of electing Trump, and some other Republicans,......and not taking the vaccine.... gives these people some semblance of control despite the risk/benefit... In a country, and In a world they believe is out of control. A false choice.. When the only thing that is out of control is THEIR own LIFE For all of them.. risk and benefit.. has very little to do with it. |

It's obvious the benefit outweigh the risks, for any reasonable person. When reason doesn't apply ....one must look at the unreasonable. It's lies.. without a reason It's a conspiracy..without conspirators These are catchalls for these people... No matter how you may try to influence them to do the reasonable thing..They will always believe.. you are lying and part of a conspiracy to "control" them. They are people who must Reap what they Sow They are people that will NEVER see how we are trying to protect them instead of control them... We actually care about them.. or our action would be much different...Actions like how they don't care about US. They are people...that because we care.. will take US down with them They are people that can't be reasoned with.. Evolution was designed for the survival of the fittest.. Yet, We have protected the unfit. People that do Not believe in reason and truth.. We must let evolution do it's work, and save ourselves And say F*CK THEM!. and put them to sleep in the bed they make.....This world will be a better place without them. 99% of the people who die from Covid are unvaccinated in the US....My obligation to them, through this pandemic is over. Our government needs to drop it .convincing them to do the right thing, needs to be over.. Let them believe what the want.....and reap what they sow. They will get no sympathy from me. My sympathy goes to over 500,000 that didn't have a choice.

Yup.....they conflate refusing the vaccine to exercising their God-given freedom......which they see as patriotic.....They see their participation in a free society in terms of individualism rather than responsibility to the whole.

It's a shame a vaccine made to protect people against the effects of such a deadly disease should become so controversial. I tend to agree/makes sense that many anti-vaxxers resist the Covid vaccine out of revolt against Government controls for the reasons you've outlined/that the Govt conspires against them. That it's more a matter of perception than fact.

One other reason for not taking those specific vaccines, may be the fact that they have not been tested over some years (usually 5 years plus) and that they are mRNA vaccines. There are risks that should not be neglected, and not everybody wants to be a guinea pig. When a doctor prescribes a drug you get normally the information about possible side effects/after effects. Those people lining up to be vaccinated believe to get their freedom back........ There are very controversial opinions among scientists....... My gosh that just proves my point.....Freedom may have something to do with it for YOU... not me.. For me.. it's removing the dread..that has haunted me for over a year and half..but during that time.. I always had my freedom. My dread is over about me, about you and about US ..(Still got a twinged of it for the rest of world, but not for US) You believe what you want to believe...Like i do.. but my belief is based on fact and experience.. Yours is based on supposition, assumptions and accusations. Why do you assume things not in evidence.. When the evidence is clear... You could believe it in January, February, March, and April..and take a wait and see attitude. But in June and July the wait should be over.. Any response that differs is just bullshit...And the wait and see.. will NEVER be seen. It's appropriate that those who pretend to make up someone's accountability.. get slapped down with their own accountability...

That it's more a matter of perception than fact. But even if it was possible...My perception of it..Would be I'm better off living in "dark" about it. This is not a new phenomenon.. if they are right.. we've been living in the dark about it for 200 years..and Those years weren't as bad..as what they are heading Us to. What those people choose to believe...is their cure...... that's worst than the disease.

When relatives got the virus and friends were falling dead around me I decided to be first in line for a vaccine if it became available. Today there seems to be more dying from covid than from taking the shot so I may have made the right decision. Without that vaccine I might have been in hell by now. LOL Party On!

"Yup...They just can't understand how someone can be an individual and still be part of a collective" This reminds me of my father, who was a Scandinavian type Socialist. He was having a conversation (his favourite sport) about politics. The other person brought up China and how they all wore identical clothes....The Indigo dyed pants and jackets and that people could not express their individuality. My father argued passionately that the opposite was true......that it was easy and shallow to assume that one's individuality was represented by the outer shell of garments, but more profound and challenging it was to discover one's uniqueness in a culture where everyone looked so similar on the surface........He would then bring up the business attire of the Western cultures......
