Trump's power grab didn't work When Obama was elected President .. The Republican party turned from governance, the sole purpose of taking back the power. Trump May have been the only candid who voided the idea of governance in the name of power. WE have entered stage II of the Republican search for power. |

Both senators and many of their voters get to hide behind falsehoods to obstruct and power grab.....It is very important in a democracy for those people, and US, to know what they are voting for or against. No gray area allowed. No hiding the true nature and cause for one's vote. Every congressmen has a duty to explain their vote.. but they only can do that if they vote. That is Mitch McConnell's claim to fame...don't allow Republican senators to put their foot in their mouth.. He takes the heat.. He see that as his job. There is no way all 50 Republican senators, standing alone, can explain themselves. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Republicans don't govern...with their search for power and/or survival. Once that path is taken there is no stopping it..It never becomes about governance.. there is never enough power..when you fear for your survival. That was Trump's problem.. Fear, not from Democrats, but his own party.. There was always someone in the wings to take him down. I know you don't get it.. The Democrats voted him out.. but it was his own Party that took him down.. The worm turned and it was members of Trump's own party.. that pissed Trump off the most..Trump had the greatest power and it wasn't enough for his survival. We are entering stage II of the Republicans search for power, and it will never be enough.

How does one combat the Republicans power grab?... Not with Democrat votes , but Republican votes...The 'haters" in the Republican Party are a minority... It doesn't matter if things pass, at this stage.. Democrat MUST force Republicans in the senate to VOTE.. Do the lowest common denominator and Force the vote.... Do not allow Republicans any room to justify an obstruction vote. Pay for it , anyway Democrats want, by increasing taxes on the wealthy... People don't look at how it's paid..... just what it is... especially if they are not the ones paying for it.

For Liberal and Progressive Democrats. This is not about getting everything you want...... Don't make that mistake This is about getting Congressmen and Senators who believe in governance. Who are reasonable and compromising.. Who have the best interest of the country as paramount. Who believe in our Democracy.. That should be the goal;... Not your agenda. Don't make this about your own power grab. You don't need to sway Republican on to yours side... you don't need to oppose moderate Republican who believe in our democracy...who believe in the truth... you need to join them Use our Democracy to get rid of those other "jokers".. Your agenda doesn't matter today.. You need to make it matter tomorrow. This game of power ping pong has to stop.

Hello Jiminy. I normally stay away from responding to political blogs but this one really is what I have been thinking also and hope that there will be more of the Repubs working with the Dems. I think that is what needs to happen so that this country can get to "Liberty and justice for all". I agree with your blog post and though it probably will not be seen by anyone other than the few of us who blog here it made me feel good to know that someone else feels the way that I do about our politicians. Creative Ideas.

Liberals have given up on the idea of having a filibuster proof majority..That should be the goal. With the right candidates and the right message.....that's more moderate than progressive..It could happen in 2024.

Jiminy it is good to see you again. It does seem to be a beginning of politicians considering what is best for our country lately. The last cooperative instance in the past as I remember it was the depletion of treasury accounts receivable in favor of the elite which they are all part of. As a result INFLATION printing worthless paper money is the only way possible to keep this country operating. That is why home prices are skyrocketing. If wages do not go up soon in order to match inflation the middle class will be taking the biggest hit in history. Retired people on fixed income will suffer the most as their savings loose value in the way of purchasing daily requirements. The rich got theirs and the middle class & aged got screwed like never before thanks to the lying king. Meanwhile we older here are concerned with pretty pictures. LOLOL Party On!

The rich invest to make money..but fail to "invest" in the goose that lays their "golden eggs"....they believe their part is greater than the sum of the whole....They would rather cook their own the goose.. than have it "lay an egg"... For Us "peons" it really doesn't matter....If we get "peed on" anymore.. we're use to it..We have learned to deal with it. It's the ones that have the most ..that have the most to lose...They may think they have the right to "pee on".. the golden goose....that is until their shit hits their "fans". Just ask Trump.. he epitomizes it all.. There are some things you can take with you BEFORE you "go"... Money ain't one of them.

The Conspiracy of Reality.... I use to believe that from the expectation I had for myself.. I got too little But it was just that my expectations were too much.. I now realize everything, for me, was exactly the way it was suppose to be. I got too little..because I thought of myself too much.. I can't fault others.. for what is my own fault Of course.. we play at the edges of reality.. crossing the line to see what's beyond our scope of things.. but it all works out, when reality brings us back. For most of us it's not a fault.. it's human nature.. But for some, they can't come back...we can't bring them back So we have you let them go.. you can't deal with people who believe they can create their own reality..We have institutions for that..

I think everyone is born will the will to achieve. Some with a greater will than others. What we achieve depends on how we live within the system and how we manipulate it. How you express your thoughts/insights might be a source of mirth/derision for some but that is their perogative - overall, I find much sanity in your words and conduct. I have learnt to trust my hunches/intuition over the years and think I read character with reasonable accuracy. Your mention of visiting SFF less of late prompted my earlier post. I didn't want you to disappear without my saying I think you're a decent person and a gentleman and wish you all the best. You're among a handful here I find 'grounding'/real. Thank you

Many here talk about curriculum in schools, like somehow that determines a student's destiny.. The challenge in school is never about learning What you're learning..But Learning how to learn. That's what learning is all about.. People who understand that, have a better understanding of what I write...I don't challenge what someone knows.. i challenge how they know it. Most who wish to continue to learn can some up with their own answers.. I give them NONE.. That's the way it was for most of them when they were young.. that's the way it is now for most young people. It's the folly of parents who believe the WHAT makes a difference, and the folly of grandparents who think age gives them the right to know better. But somewhere along the line people get tired of learning.. they believe they have learned all they can..and what they have learned is absolute. Of course, that is the brick wall here for most...Many old people stop learning The radicals here on both side accentuate their differences..but for me that difference is in the what they think....Yet, how they think is virtually the same, for being "radical" is virtually the same, no matter what that radicalism is I don't expect anyone to 'accept" that statement...It's true and it's not true.. Yet either way.. there is something to be derived from it...if you're still willing to learn. You understand what i say... not because of agreement.. but because .. you are a person who continues to learn....you discover your new meanings to words and songs and poems... It may seem like.. I shouldn't be able to know that.. we haven't met, really conversed, or found agreement... but my reason for that is I already know.. YOU KNOW.. I believe and trust in you to make your own decisions. I honestly don't even have to know what that decision is. There are two reasons I don't converse with some people here.. Obviously for some it's like talking to a brick wall.. but there some others, like you, that's I trust and don't feel the need. In general, I trust and believe in people... I believe that people are far better off wanting to find out who they are, instead of who they think they should be. At least that's what I believe works for me. It's simply really...If you truly love yourself..you can't do anything but love others.. I am still working on that one. Oh my gosh.. knowing it's simple, and then making it simple....are two different things... it's a trip one takes, carrying too much "baggage".

We all wonder what the future holds.. where this is all taking us.. WE worry about politics, climate change, different religions, different races, "predators", jobs, wealth, and survival. What effect it will have on our children and children's children. Parents and grandparent understand what they have been taught.. but never really understand what they learned by being shown. We are "teaching" our children nothing about how we can solve these things.. But they are learning ..what we are "showing" them about these things.. There can be no Garden of Eden.."When the apple doesn't fall far from the tree".

LOL I assume everyone enters this site of their own free will.-----A FRIEND site----- I go on the assumption that they are doing what they enjoy or they would not constantly be acting out or doing what they do. THAT --THEY CONTROL. Soooooo when I say party on it simply means>>>>>>continue on with what the person or group is enjoying. Party On brings it down to choice. Well Jiminy if I have more free will after I kick out the Christians will be celebrating another atheist went to hell & I will be pissed of because I didn't get there sooner. With all those flames there will certainly be some (hot) ladies in the vicinity. They call that suffering???????? I call that a PARTY. Jiminy I must admit I've been in a few parties that didn't go well. LOL Recently I seemed to have inadvertently offended the sensibilities of the cumulative masses while they were on a rumble and as a result I'm feeling a little heat. But---- HEY Columbus took a chance. LOL It did provide some of them with an alternative sense of purpose. LOL Nothing ventured---nothing gained. LOL Party On!

But---- HEY Columbus took a chance. LOL It did provide some of them with an alternative sense of purpose. LOL Nothing ventured---nothing gained. LOL Party On! Well, owning one's perception is 9/10ths of the law... You must be a skinny person.... Me, well...I could never venture pass a buffet table...I would have to try everything once...and the things I liked... go back for seconds.. I have even dipped into a "tumbleweed" salad. once or twice..and then "Mount Rush More" in the Bathroom.. I have tried to purge it..with vomiting... but when you eat shit , you should learn something....Me, well, i can't stop myself...I eat it, "regurgitate it"..but am always expecting a different result..LMAO
