The Obvious Choice...Kamala ...And the fireworks keep going off. The sky lighted in Red, White and Blue..I know I'm pretty off the wall, about the way I see things... I could talk about how smart she is.... How diligent she is....How tough she is. I could talk about the adversity she has overcome. I could talk how she has not become tainted politically, I could talk about her being Black, Indian and the of immigrant.. I could talk about what she means to women, and people of color. Those things may seem specific to specific individual. They may be in contrast to our current president and vice president.. But i don't want to talk about contrast. Not since Obama..have we had a political person who transcends both their gender and the color of their skin. i don't want to talk about the "big Stick' she carries.. I want to talk about her relate-ability, her smile, her joy, and her empathy...I want to talk about her friends and her supporters. I want to talk about the forgiveness she has and the forgiveness she gets. I want to talk about the person.. Not the politics. Kamala Harris may have the political attributes to be a great Vice president? But she has the personal attributes to be great American. So what I want to talk about...Is that Kamala Harris can not be simply defined by her political attributes to the office of Vice-president. |

Kamala Harris has 'the look' and the demeanor (both good and bad) that defines who and an American is.... She, even more so than Biden, is the American 'poster child". Those who truly are American will be able to see it.. Get ready for those who can't.. Get ready for a deluge of "fake news" about her.. She will thwart it at every turn...except one.. They will say she's not an American....She's a Californian.

I totally agree with your remarks here Cricket. My last column on this subject settled on Harris. It's the right pick for the country. The good news is that America is going to survive Trump. I do believe our focus remains 'survival' in the context we have discussed before. But now I believe that we will indeed survive this. I'm really excited about how the cabinet and other critical appointments shake out. That's why I believe we will emerge in survival. I'm relieved. It's been a terrible 5 years and I've barely made it. There isn't a remote chance that Trump will hang around. It's over now. I will eagerly be casting my vote.

To follow up a little, and revisit some things we've discussed before, I lean left in my politics, not far left, but lean left. I believe in the progressive agenda but I'm also a realist. It takes time to get there and we now have to pause to address the mess Trump has left behind. I don't think we can know where the progressive movement is in this march until we see what happens in the congressional races. But clearly, I have great political interest in what will happen in Georgia, South Carolina, Texas and Arizona. Do you think there is any chance Senator Graham loses? That would be a political earthquake. I think he squeaks it out but the margin will tell us a lot. I think the next Governor of Texas may well be Democratic. Shale drilling is non-existent. Texas is a big mess across the board. It's strange how America changes. It's often not predictable. Those weeks of demonstrations said so much. The voters are committed to fixing this disaster. For the first time in a long time....move me into the confident column. It'll take years to fix it but its going to happen. There will be lawyers at every precinct where it could really matter.

It seems Impossible to survive the current circumstances .. the Virus, the economy, and the racial problem.. But here's what i believe.. this is just a prelude to bigger problems on the horizon.. The fact we couldn't get through the current problems without a whole lot difficulty.. will not bode well for the future problem... we will be confronted with.. The idea that we are ill prepared to deal with these.. That I believe are minor compared to what's ahead. means the worst is yet to come. I won't be around to see it...but there are very few "other choices".. the irony of "living for the moment"... Which once was a somewhat better choice and justification for not living in the past or future...to be able to live life to the fullest....Will become a mandate and a necessity. Hope for better days, ideals, principles, and compassion will be in the past. This trump thing won't end.. We didn't nip it in the bud, and by cutting off the limbs won't effect the roots.. WE are having a prelude, not to the end of this.. but the prelude to the beginning of this. I have been listening to Fox news.. I read "big" and others here. I once thought it impossible for people and a so-called news program to out and out lie.. We wouldn't put up with it. I live in the reality. not the fantasy of a LIBERAL World.. it can't happen......It's bad.. I don't see either way ....a resolution to future problems. So I believe... We can fail doing the right thing or fail doing the wrong thing. Ignorance, lying, irrational, an an incomprehensible understanding of what is the right thing.. are not the cause but the catalyst. The irony of avoiding the Truth.. is that one can NEVER get away with it.....But it also means that others don't have to face it,.....The irony is it won't matter in the end.....EVERYBODY will get slammed with it. In human evolution we have run out of adaptability.

Interesting isn't it how a woman is perceived as being "rude and pushy" while the same hactions in a man are considered to be strengths......I've never heard Trump complain about Jim Jordan being rude and pushy....... When I heard that Kamala Harris was Biden's choice I cheered...... BLUE LIVES MATTER DEO VIN DICE

When Kamela questioned Barr she was making him uncomfortable because she was asking some hard questions and Barr was trying to squirm out of answering. Kamela didn't raise her voice and shout, she calmly asked pertinent questions. It's past time to get over the double standards.

Well you people just amaze me and are the reason with or with or without Trump .. We don't stand a chance. I end my blog with human nature has run out of adaptability. And there you all go and just prove. Preconceived notions, ideas, and rational the can not effectively be changed. Effectively in fruits of it... but NOT in the ROOTS of it. The defensive mechanisms of the narrowminded, Like who'd have ever thunk.. bijou.. could be trapped in the chains of sexism. She perfectly explains why other women support Trump.. Not her intentiion...,but she's the proof. What she did in her second comment was to change the fruits.. of her thoughts...but she didn't change the roots. Of course i am affronted by "Uncle Ream US".. "but to say nothing is to be nothing." So I will say it and let him be it. So i ask you .. When does it go without saying...? When will we not have to say it.. It will be known.. When is Trusting yourself... Trusting others.. People like Biden say "silence is complicity"..that's not necessarily true.. I regret having to mention or deal with "Uncle Ream Us" it bothers me to think that in his case my silence is not golden.. Do you think if there was something the government could to secure Trump victory.. they would do it? Do you think ...That no matter what the cost, if Trump was assured a victory he wouldn't spend the money Do you think.. if Trump felt his best chance of winning was to 'secure" and verify the election in real time ...He would do it. Mail in voting can be secure, and legitimate. It can be made that way.First thing is to secure the Post office.. Not being done. Second thing ..to be able to identify each ballot mailed out and who it's recipient is.bar coding. numbering,. pin numbers, and special printing paper like we do with money.. why does Nobody talk about that? Computers verify everything. They can verify a ballot pretty easy. The idea, of course is Trump never talks about securing mail in ballots.. like it can't be done..Do YOU believe that mail in ballots cannot be secured? You may believe Democrats are fake and manipulative.. will do anything to win, are corrupt and communists...Well MAYBE that could be true..But in their actions they do a real good job of hiding it. They MAY be faking me out... It's happened before and will probably happen again. But not knowing is a Maybe...I will take a MAYBE everyday and Sunday. Before I will let Anybody, like Trump...INSULT my intelligence. i don't care what you call yourself, I don't care politically what it means.. there is no difference about it between Republican and Democrat. It's my bottom line. it's the line not to cross. It is a disrespect I can't handle. It is the end of my respect. DO NOT INSULT MY INTELLIGENCE.
