MORNING BEASTS The alarm goes off, and wakens , from a slumber sound and deep. the unwanted jolt, I will not surrender, I know this day will keep. For in this moment of solitude, my mind is free at last. contemplate the future, remember a loving past. I can see the flowers bloom and smell their sweet perfume Then see her eyes sparkle at me, as she comes into the room. I hear the sound of cooing, it must be a dove. Her voice is but an echo,"you are the one I love." I feel the warmth and serenity, so snug in my cocoon But the dream, she lies next to me, I know is ending soon. Another day has dawned, and calls out to me To capture another moment, for this place, I like to be. |

Taste Of Me Taste of me and I will taste of you Not in ravaging mouthfuls but in sips of morning dew Lips to catch each tender drop that moisten the fire Quenches a magic's thirst Of capitulation and desire It's just the reign and thunder For what beasts are suppose to do Can't put the beast asunder Like a kiss of morning dew Otherwise, a poor man's feast A table in bountiful array Nourishment for a hungry beast Feeds his body throughout the day As day falls into night And lust and hunger slips No sated beast, can be found Without dew upon his lips. Kiss me softly as morning air and breezes that welcome me in The sound of your heart's rhapsody Can sate the beast within. Taste of me As I will taste of you Not in ravaging mouthfuls but in kisses of morning dew.
