The government disconnect. Last night at work.... I was concerned about what the IRS would be doing about the presidents speech..And their concern about their employees.. And was management ideas just business as usual. Typicially at work and the same goes for here .. I am a trouble makers. anyway, I'm thinking about it.. and our unit of around forty people..Has scheduled a meeting.. At the time of meeting..I was surprised to see the department manger..Not just our manager but the manager of the entire floor we work. I gathered she was there to tell us something.. I'm sure the floor has at least five hundred people and at least three different departments. so i expected something more about the overall operation than just our unit.. Well, the first clue I got about my concerns, heighten my concern. As we met in an open area forty people semi-scattered..we were told to come together like wall to wall people to hear what the manager had to say.. After she got through speaking about.. decorum, leave, overtime, training, and workload.. I ask the question.. As per the president speech tonight what is the IRS doing.. in regards to it.. What additional, protections, leave and overtime changes from the norm, safety rules. employee consideration, and transparency of any additional risks is the IRS considering.. And when will we receive notification. The manager said we have received notification of personal safety recommendation. like washing your hands etc etc.. I said that's not my question.. I know what I am suppose to be doing.. i just don't know what the IRS is doing.. although she said she was not part of the meeting the management was meeting with the NTEU (union) to work out some things.. and would notify US.. Well then I stuck my foot in it.. I said.. You mean to tell me..this is going to be a partisan negotiation? |

So after the meeting at break around midnight.. I was talking to some people. And said what a joke.. to huddle us together,and not realize what they doing. So I may take things seriously like that, but never too seriously. I said my piece and I'll just leave it at that. See what happens. So anyway to prove my lack of decorum.. I told everybody this joke.. A man put an ad into the newspaper .. that says he looking for a wife.. He says.. I must be honest... I have been exposed to COVID 19, and tested positive. I would prefer a wife who has contracted lyme disease. As I have never been able to do a Corona without a lime.
