Trumpagator....Hiding in the weeds

It's tough in the political world to condemn a politician who hasn't completed his task.

It's is imperative that Republican Senators take the vote and put their name next to NOT impeaching.. It is imperative for each state to get on record each of their Senators reason for that vote.

During an election year.. their is single focus on WINNING the election. The idea of how you go about doing it, has no meaning if you don't WIN. You do whatever it takes to destroy your opponent. I am not so naive to believe I can change that.
It's way too much to ask. It regards to MOST Republicans, that is a not a conflict..For SOME Democrats it is.. But here's the rub..and the reality..It will not become a conflict to ALL Democrats. They will choose to destroy Republicans. Simply because they have legitimate ammunition, of non-impeachment vote and their complicity. If wearing blackface or sexual misconduct years ago can be use to dissuade voters..I can't imagine what the evidence of complicity with Trump will do. It will NEVER go away for them.. Democrats will make sure of that.

That's what we are confronted with here. The failure of Candidates to see beyond the NEXT election.
I said a long time ago this impeachment was going to be a failure about Trump. Trump is a known.. And even in knowing, He will not be impeached. but in knowing in the knowing will be impeached
This impeachment of Trump.. has always been about the Senate. The impeachment of Trump, has always been about cleaning out the swamp. not the ALLIGATOR, but he weeds.
The shortsightedness of Senators, can get them re-elected..But it will be the last time, for All them.

I know some Trump supporters may think, that somehow this could get better, that somehow it could all make sense. But it can't and it won't... There's is only one thing I am sure of about the future..It will all come out.. there is NO way Trump will be cannonized...He will be cannonballed.

There will come a time , in the future, the truth will be known. History will NOT be kind to Trump..
When the "drug deals" goes sour, and the hand grenades blow up.. Senators who, now, vote not to impeach.. Will be cleaned out of the swamp... both the Senate weeds and the "Trumpagator".

I can't stop thinking about what would have happened. If the whistleblower didn't blow the whistle.
What would have happened to the aid to the Ukraine, and Zellensky making a PUBLIC announcement.

Two things happened when the Whistleblower appeared.
First Trump released the hold on the Aid
And second Zellensky cancelled his interview with CNN.

What this impeachment would have looked like if Trump was able to complete his task?

But even more important a question is what would have happened, Had Zellensky not agreed.

There is a failure of Democrats...To try to STOP bad things before they happen.
The failure is in the stopping of bad things...AS It's never becomes KNOWN, if they were really bad or not.

The idea of Republicans believing this is a witch hunt and a set up.. Is unbelievable.
If it was, the Democrats went about it all wrong....Democrat should set up Trump, let him complete the task..Prepared the evidence ahead of time, and then lower the boom.

Nobody is bigger than this country. Loyalty to a person or Party is Not bigger than this country.. It's a Rhetoric statement for Republicans, but Democrats need to stop being that way....If sacrificing the Bidens reputation to stop Trump is what it takes ...SO BE IT. You got to let him do it, before you can convict him of it.

December 7th, just pasted..It is a reminder of December 7th 1941. a Day that will live in infamy.??

The question i have is infamy for what?

there is the good and bad of it..
some relative facts about our history of then and Now..

FDR wanted US in the war with Germany.. However Constitutionally he was handcuffed FDR respected the Constitution.. Unlike our current President.

FDR, like our current President, understood what it takes to motivate the Public and FDR was NO SAINT.

So the question becomes What was FDR's position in regards to Japan, before December 7th. What was FDR feeding the RISING SUN.
Had FDR knew the end result of the war with Japan and the War in Europe.. would he have changed anything?
It would be totally supposition to believe that FDR set the whole thing up.. Delayed Japan declaration of war. Knew what was going to happen and decided, it was in our best interest, to let it happen.
To believe that FDR's lack of vigilance, of preventing the attack on Pearl Harbor was just a mistake.
Well, what I think.. is that FDR saw both the good and bad of it..And realized there were no Just GOOD options.. So he let the chips fall where they may.. and take whatever was good from it...And deal with whatever was bad from it.

Even though those circumstance were alot different than they are now..there is a similarity.. FDR's dealings with Japan..was an action not a reaction. As is Trump's dealing with Russia, the Ukraine, Turkey, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, ISIS...and NATO..
It not a reaction to what they are doing .. It an action of what Trump is doing.

but unlike FDR, Trump believes he is immune from Congressional oversight, and Congressional authority.. Trump Does not believe the Constitution has the right to tell him what he can and can't do. Trump believes he alone can create Public motivation..
Even though i believe both Trump and FDR were heartless.....even though i believe FDR was NO Saint... I grapple with the idea that Trump makes him look like one.

One more similarity between FDR and Trump... You're going to think it's silly.. meaningless, and harsh.
But I think it's says it a alot about Trump and FDR being HEARTLESS..

It's Eleanor and Melania..

Eleanor.. the day after Pearl Harbor.

"I should like to say just a word to the women in the country tonight. I have a boy at sea on a destroyer, for all I know he may be on his way to the Pacific. Two of my children are in coast cities on the Pacific. Many of you all over the country have boys in the services who will now be called upon to go into action. You have friends and families in what has suddenly become a danger zone. You cannot escape anxiety. You cannot escape a clutch of fear at your heart and yet I hope that the certainty of what we have to meet will make you rise above these fears.
"Whatever is asked of us I am sure we can accomplish it."

We must go about our daily business more determined than ever to do the ordinary things as well as we can and when we find a way to do anything more in our communities to help others, to build morale, to give a feeling of security, we must do it. Whatever is asked of us I am sure we can accomplish it. We are the free and unconquerable people of the United States of America.

To the young people of the nation, I must speak a word tonight. You are going to have a great opportunity. There will be high moments in which your strength and your ability will be tested. I have faith in you. I feel as though I was standing upon a rock and that rock is my faith in my fellow citizens.— Eleanor Roosevelt"

*******

"She is still right today. Amid clamor in Washington and threats to liberty at home and abroad, the best course of action for ordinary citizens is to do the ordinary things as well as they can, and then do a bit more to serve and lift one another. All should heed the clarion call of this great woman — spoken at a time of angst, uncertainty and frustration — and act on the challenges she delivered to the nation 78 years ago."

Although Melania may have more looks and Eleanor more brains and heart, and sense of duty.. there is no difference in their circumstance of the White house, and the roof they live under..And the way they are treated
It says a lot about the Presidents. I doubt we have seen two First Ladies that similar in how their Husband treated them. Separate lives and separate bedrooms... and their knowledge of who their husband really are.

As I look out at Eleanor....I can't help but think her rock is sinking....
