Politcally Non-Political 2020

I want to discuss the Presidential 2020 election.....Parties and candidates..

Although it's most likely Democrats will win the election...They have a choice of platform, direction, policies, and Candidates.... Although Democrats have a leg up.. they need to decide. as to whether or not.. to put their foot on the throat of Republicans.
To do what Republicans do....enhancing negative appearances to appeal to their base

I think there is one thing we have learned from Trump... and that is appealing to just your base doesn't work.. So why should Democrats even try to do it. Democrats WILL NOT have to court their base. This election is a free ride, for Democrats to do what's right as opposed to do what it takes to win.

The Democrat appearances will be a problem for two reasons...

First.....there will negative effect from the Trump presidency....on the economy, on the institutions of government.. and on Trust ...... Democratic policies will not solve these problem, and may even exacerbate them....but they will stem the tide. That's Pretty typical of what democrats do.. The democrat President will be put under the gun, for promises they can not keep within their term.

Second....the Democrats will have a real appearance problem as to "who" they Represent... If democrats believe a person of color's vote is more important than a white vote... Or a women vote is more important than a man's vote.
A vote is a vote....Getting out the Black vote or Hispanic vote or women's vote...From
an appearance standpoint is detrimental to unity.

So the Democrats have to be politically Non-Political...From an non-appearance from the smell of partisanship and favortism...From a policies standpoint... It must be understood.. that there is no magic wand .. It will be good and it will appear bad..

So what does all that mean?

First.. bi-partisanship, unity, ideals honesty, and trust must be the focus.. policies being tempered...to achieve those goals.
Second.. the Presidential candidate should be a White male.....The difference in policies and qualifications.. doesn't outweigh the difference in appearance. the difference in policies..will be undermined by the inability to properly enact those policies, and that automatic appearance of the negativity.....The Candidate will be hung by their own policies.. The Vice President candidate should be women.. because this election needs to not be about this election but about future elections. Open the door before turning over the office..
Third the candidate should not be one of the "old guard" and straddle with the 'old ways"

To put it simply the Democrats need a "White" Obama...

If you haven't figured out who is the White Obama.....
It's Beto O'Rourke

Policies not as important as inspiration
Young and new... as opposed to "old"
Success measured in doing as opposed to what you do.
O'Rourke has no REAL policies.. but he believes the first step to being the best is to get better.
He is bi-partisan....His treatment of Ted Cruz was admirable....If it was me ..I would have unloaded both barrel on "Lying" Ted. He didn't degrade Cruz.. he inspired his own voters
He won't attract people of "labels'.. he''ll attract everybody.. YOUNG and old, men and women, people of color and whites, Rich and poor, religious and non religious, families and singles.......

If he is elected, much like Obama, he won't be measured by his Presidential Successes...He will be measured.... because WE will become a "better" people for it.

America fully grasps the Trump disaster and already addressed the swamp problem in the mid-terms. If there was ever any doubt December conclusively proved what Joe Scarborough observed on Christmas Eve. The Trump presidency is terminal. It got worse today, Christmas of all days. This presidency will not make it to 2020. I've read recently, very recently, that advice is getting to Pence of the importance of nailing down high quality staffers now because they will have a big challenge in cleaning up the mess when Trump leaves. I've even read that Trump is being advised to fire the Treasury Secretary now. This isn't a blip on the radar screen Cricket, and Powell at the Fed isn't going anywhere. This is a locomotive that is going to squish Trump like a bug. The fuse was lit months ago but Mattis and the Syria troop withdrawal on top of a 20 percent collapse in the markets was the proverbial bridge to nowhere. I think Trump has been in panic mode for awhile. It shows in public appearances and in the tweets. I wouldn't be surprised if Trump cuts a deal for border money in exchange for action on DACA, and that's an easy deal for the Democrats to make. Regardless of what he does the cake is baked...he's a loser. There is nothing in Trump's future...Ginsburg is back at work already. Trump limps all the way to the State of the Union and that's when America rolls its eyes for the last time....exist stage Mueller.

I don't think the Democrats have decide on one strategy now and stay the course....things are far to unpredictable. What will be interesting is what happens in the House...things are going to get done, McConnell is going to hose it up and Republicans will lose the senate. Trump's pardons will make America vomit...but we move on...happy days are here again with a progressive agenda.

I'm reading Michael Wolff's 'Fury And Fire - Inside The Trump White House'. It certainly explains a much of what went on - the disorganisation, the lack of experienced administrators.

Obviously you're pretty scared. to lie as much as you have in this blog..
You are already 'campaigning" for the 2020 election..

first of all.. It is obvious you are not discerning at all, when comes to Democrats.. You label them all the same.. every negative lie about about O'Rourke.. would be the same negative lie about every other Democrat candidate. While most Democrats can discern between almost every Republican candidate. one label doesn't "fit all"

You prove my point about black vote and women vote.. I said the "appearance of"... not the reality.. You love the appearance...and you will use it....

You have proven you know nothing about Beto O'Rouke.

For me... there is a much bigger PROBLEM in this country.. than which party "policies" to enact....healthcare, the economy, race relations, climate change, government spending and taxes.....are small potatoes...compared to corruption, distrust, honesty, and "control" of elections..... those gaping wounds that a band-aid won't fix..

The ironies of this Presidency and The Republican party is astounding..
Make America Great Again......but to forget what made America Great in the first place.
To clean the 'SWAMP".....by filling it with waste materials, toxic chemicals, trash, and dead bodies....
To Save a Way of Life.....in which the cure.. kills you faster than the disease. In which the body parts should works as one....but are separated by causing division and derision...to cut out the so called "disease" and take with the good....and To Build a WALL... building a WALL, an illogical and astounding way... to Save a Way of Life..
To be "America First"....when being FIRST, already was never good enough...and only prove to our DETRACTORS...what they always wanted to think in the first place.

This Presidency and the Republican supporters are destroying the way of the life.. they say they are trying to SAVE..

The foibles of both parties....As to "GIVE AND TAKE"....you can't GIVE what you don't have.. and You can't TAKE what's already yours...

So yes... Policies at this point ... mean squat didley.

Are you that blind or are you that stupid....The deal made.. Daca's for the Wall.. It was a done deal... But Trump had to pushed it... he was giving up nothing to get something.. but The " great deal maker" couldn't JUST accept that.. he had to push the envelope..

What blew up the deal.. was Trump trying to tie in... LEGAL immigration reform. And the "great deal maker" got nothing........... But Even nothing was too much for the "true value" of the Wall...
But never give up... A losing deal ....only open the door for a better deal...so now it's a government shutdown for the WALL.. when he loses that .. What will be next?

Maybe he will get the fence, that's already there, and declare himself "The Winner" But then again, maybe not, and he'll have to use something else for BLACKMAIL and find something that REALLY MATTERS..that scares the beegeebee's out of US....
But you see... NOW..... I don't worry about the fact he could find something, like that, on our dinner plate.. that doesn't already have fork stuck in it..... what I know, that Trump doesn't know yet.. is there is already a fork stuck in him.

Maisie.. there's a fork stuck in you... too!... This is no longer a "debate" Accept your loss and stop rambling the debate about it. You're just pushing the fork in deeper..

Let's hope the Democrats do it Right...
The "better angels"...Paint the pictures that Republican in the house and senate can't WIN..... what they've already lost....The only "life" preserver on the sinking ship is to do what's right..
That the preservation of the Right... was never about the Right... but about being right.
That love of country, and love of ideals, love of Service, and love of politics is not about winning
It's about SACRIFICE.
That Democrats are willing to SACRIFICE.. and their "Winning".. to show them the way..

I agree that he should have resigned long ago. The man is morally bankrupt, a sexual predator, likely the most corrupt president in American history, he's a racist, incompetent, ordered the theft of babies from their mother and he's lied repeatedly, over 7000 times since assuming the Presidency, even though he lost by nearly 3 MILLION votes. He committed fraud while running Trump University settling for 25 million dollars and he committed a felony with his personal attorney trying to pay off a PORN star. He said he 'loved' the brutal dictator of North Korea, a killer. The worst of all of this is that this is a person you defend. It's the epitome of slime Maisie...and it paints a picture of exactly who you are.....and it's a shame.

If Baby Donald makes it to 2020 without a forced resignation, impeachment hearings, or enactment of the 25th .. he's still not going to get the nomination of his own party.

Race and gender have nothing to do with it...But they will USE and ABUSE IT. You think they are election frauds.. they are not..they are user and abuser of election laws.. and tax laws... You think they are "GREEDY" .. they are not.. they are users and abuser to PROTECT what's their and SPEND what yours.

You can't allow THEM to "use and abuse".. Especially stuff that doesn't matter.

One interesting and surprising description in the book is how Pence's office is run. It's organized, efficient, staffed by professionals who cooperate rather than back stabbing each other as happens constantly in Mango's operation.
