In a Hurry

In a Hurry

Where once life was ...“looking” Ahead
Our lives just seemed ...to be about that
To discovered where ...we were to be led
And never see.... the place we were at.

In a hurry for the changes
for old is never as good as new
And find out what destiny arranges
For the 'better me” to do

Once life seemed so ordinary
The people and the places
To NOW realize it was extraordinary
burnt into memory... the faces

When love was as big an ocean
And island riches understated
And values weren't just a notion
or devotion was not outdated

If we could go back to find it again.
All the changes to redo..
but the place and the people then
were in a hurry too

I wrote this this morning for some friends in High school.... I grew up on an island....probably in more ways than one.. but even so.. It seems appropriate, no matter where you grew up..
Kind of.... "you got to stop to smell the roses"...they don't last forever..and neither does your "smeller"

Why is it that most of us don't realize that it's important to 'smell the roses', as we travel our red road, until we're reaching the end of it~~~ Sighhh......

But...... Ahhhhhh, the memories~~

nicely done Jimmy. MEANING is what life should be about.

LIFE'S JUST TO SHORT TO RUSH!
