My response to Lizst Quoting Lisztomania:The role of the teachers in all of this can't be ignored. Our public schools from bottom to top are indoctrination camps for the left, preparing future members of the Ruling Class. The walkout the other day was a prison break incited by the wardens. One wonders how a walkout for a conservative cause, let-s say strengthening our borders, would be treated by school administrators. And why the constant demonization of the NRA? It's estimated that about 6% of gun owners are NRA members, and I would venture to say they are the least likely gun owners to use their guns carelessly or illegally. It would be a sacrilege for them. But the illegal guns in the hood are belching fire every day in our inner cities. We do have a gun problem. There are ways to address it without making war on responsible citizens who own guns. *************************** You have no ability to empathize...You can't see the forest through the trees. I don't want to discuss the right or wrong of it about guns....that's not the point. It's not about YOU, or the parents, or the teachers. It's about survival and coping. You weren't the one cowering under a desk or in locked closet... you weren't needing psychological evaluation and help..because of it... You missed the point........this isn't about guns.... There's time enough to grow old and be put down with our limitations, and oppressed by the power of others. these haven't experienced that yet.. When we listen to them.. What we hear is they're going to do something about it. what you perceive as manipulation.. to them doesn't even matter. .to them it's stems from the feeling of hiding under a desk...fear...and being powerless. You think for them it's about guns?...For them it's about coping with guns How to cope with what they went through..? How do they cope in their lives... It hasn't happened to you...but if it did...I doubt you wouldn't do everything in your power to have it NOT happen again. For them right or wrong about guns doesn't matter.. ideology doesn't matter.. just DO SOMETHING to prevent it.. Those are standing up.. not for anything in particular.. but standing up, because the alternative is to "lay down", hide behind a desk and just take it. They are not OLD like US......they are mad as hell... and are not going take it anymore... Maisie wrote a blog and sure some of them are Vulgar and angry.. but that's what it takes to changes things.. They have had to take it, and now, they are not going to take it anymore.......No matter your ideology.... F*ck the teachers, F*ck the government representatives. F*ck the NRA, F*ck their parents, F*ck the rhetoric....And F*ck YOU..... they "call it "BS"......Just DO Something, Anything..... about it! Or sure as hell.. they will. You want 'someone to blame"... these have got it right.. There's no one to blame....everybody's to blame. |

You folks.. Just don't get it.. Like everything else that happens.... The conclusions, justification, excuses, and politics...WTF? It doesn't matter.. the Event of MSD.. happened.. that's all you need to know. It happened....There is NO excuses, justifications or politics about it..There's no one to blame that makes it all right, and relieves your own burden about it......There's no one blame..that can allow it to happen again. There's is NO part of it, that makes it right.... or... Not just a part of it.. that makes it wrong. Divided up, and you do so at your own peril. Just like everything else. These kids are growing up fast....what they have discovered.. is they don't give a sh*t about what you care about.. YOU have made it so......The hypocrisy. the moral weakness, the self serving, and the prejudice... what we've taught them..is to NOT trust US. The "moral" Right....Attacks it own morality about it.. just like everything else. "Morals" that aren't the Ten commandments.. Morals that are NEVER written in stone That's hypocrisy...in which "you folks"..make me sick....And now you've made our kids sick...

The events that are happening are amazing to me.. As we fear what those events can amount to..I smile knowing there are events that will take care of it all. These kids...are not about gun law changing......they are about taking over from our mistakes.....they are willing to do that. What makes me smile.. is that it is not just "hope'" that , in reality, it makes it a done deal. A failure of Hitler's Germany.... There were Concentration camp. and there were six million Jews exterminated.. Hide it, believe it or don't believe it. makes excuses for it, or justify it or figure or try and figure out why it happened... It doesn't matter the event speaks for itself. We are not being taught about it.. You can't "teach it"...We are just being reminded about it.. About what hate does... Almost all know who Hitler is.. but what about...Nicholas Cruz, Adam Lanza, and Dylan Klebold.. are names you may not know. But they know those names at Stoneman Douglas, Sandy Hook, and Columbine. They know who those people are.. As with Hitler.. they are not just individual who hate... but products of a society, the suborns it.

Excellent blog........Maisie, Liszt, and others here that assume the kids are being coerced to mobilise, aren't paying attention. Where were they during the anti-war youth movement of the 60s ?........I have heard Emma Gonzales paint a picture of their process......Huge charts and maps on the living-room floor, kids all over the country on their cells and computers communicating. They haven't just sat back and waited for the adults to tell them where to show up and what to say.......They are self-motivating.......How about Emma's 6 minutes of silence.....that was genius, but also completely genuine........that was obvious and the respect was palpable. It was Art....... And they have supporters all over the World.....that is the difference this new generation has, the advantage.....They know how to harvest the riches of World connectedness made possible by the internet and mobile phones.......The said they already had established friendships and contacts all over the World prior to the shooting as part of their education..... Ever since computers became common, I have wondered how they will change the World......We have a lot to learn from these youngsters....

I say what you are doing And then you do it.....make excuses and justifications for the way you want to think about it politically Okay try and understand when I say It's not political and it's not about guns.. I mean.. what YOU think it is about being political or being about guns .. It is about guns and politics.. because YOU make it that way. These kids aren't being political.. political is to have a specific point of view. I'm sure some of them want to take all the guns...I am sure some of them just wan't to take away assault rifle, i sure some just want better background checks, and some want better law enforcement of laws already on the books. some may just want to no longer be afraid, and trust.. Co what is their specific agenda? That makes it specifically about guns..... What is their specific agenda that makes it about politics? What is their specific agenda that makes them Liberal or Conservative. When are you going to realize they are exactly like you... without the specifics. What they all realize is talk is cheap.. DO SOMETHING..... Caring enough means DOING SOMETHING., not just talking about it, that just minimizes it These kids aren't specific about what you should do...They are specific about DOING SOMETHING about it. Do something..Anything..Show you care. Okay I got a solution....that's not about guns.... I say .....TAKE AWAY ALL THE BULLETS. You folks... Piss me off.. when guns become your Cross.... and forget what was nailed on it.. You're all wooden Christians..with wooden guns... who don't know how to pull out the nails..but simply nail someone else to it. I got a solution... TAKE AWAY ALL THE NAILS. (and from some of "you folks" and Donald..pull them out of each finger.. one by one)

Every time maisie and her ilk come up with the idea that stricter gun laws is "punishment" for "law-abiding gun owners" my stomach turns. They seem to believe that there is a line one can draw between law-abiding gun owners and those who are not responsible citizens. Who can possibly predict how any human being is going to react under certain pressures? If we could know that in advance, there would be no "gun problem" What makes me even sicker, is that what the people who advocate no changes in the gun laws, are actually saying that we should go on allowing our children to be punished so that nothing changes in their lives. They do not care what happens to the lives of others as long as they get what they want. Have they ever seen the damage done to the bodies of people who've been shot with any kind of gun? Don't they picture that damage in their minds every time there are reports of another mass shooting? I have seen the long term results of that kind of damage, dealing with broken children and broken minds leaves a mark on one's soul, that never goes away. For every adult or child injured or killed there are many more whose lives are deeply affected. Human beings whose lives will never be the same again. If people cannot understand that... then they are not thinking and reasoning as adults. We all know that maisie , liszt and co, are driven by their hatred of "the left" and will use that hatred no matter who is harmed. No empathy there...not one iota!

BTW...I have great admiration for these young people and their anti gun law protests. Their words are more articulate and adult than any the gun lovers can come up with. I wish them all the success in the world!

Since there are already hundreds of millions of guns in circulation in the U.S., so new background checks wouldn't really make a difference. And since no major gun law changes happened regardless of whether the Dems or the Repubs were in control of the government, maybe simpler changes could be made and become even more effective than gun control. Maybe the teachers and parents and even the music videos and t.v. shows should be focusing on teaching kindness, tolerance and showing young people how they can take an active part in stopping bullying. Just for example, kids are afraid to be unpopular by hanging around with loners or unpopular kids. How about reinforcing to them that they will be heroes if they see a student who is disabled or unattractive or just unpopular, or someone who is being bullied or laughed at, and make it cool to go and sit down and talk with them and try to help them. So many of these school shooting situations seem to be carried out by loners who were probably bullied.

I have participated in a number of protests and I certainly don't have unlimited funds. Rally buses and church floors, When I am visiting the Senate and Congressional buildings, I take the train and stay at hostels. Last year, I went to the DAR Continental Congress via Train stayed at the William Penn House, went to a Health Care Vigil, visited Senator's Office and made it to the DAR Event. It cost me less for the entire trip than an overnight sleep-over at the Trump Hotel where some of the DAR members stayed. I was also within walking distance of the Capitol Building. Abracadabra

I think these kids are the offspring of the America haters that protested the attempt by the USA to preserve freedom and democracy in SE Asia. That era of America haters caused Vietnam to become a commie gulag. The current gang will rob Americans of sacred rights and freedoms.

Of course it's ABOUT guns and Politics.. but it's not that simple But then again... it not JUST about guns and Politics. Do you think the Women's March was about women? of course it was.. but it wasn't just about women. Do you think.. the DACA protests where about illegal children.. of course it was... but it wasn't just about illegals. Do you think..the Democrats are going to win in November.. because it's all about Trump..Well of course it is... but it's not just about Trump.. You don't swing an axe one time to chop down the tree... It's takes a bunch of swing votes. those votes are not going to be decide by a LABEL. but the "big" picture... of how the forest is better off without that tree Someone needs to tell me .. what politics and guns are about....I don't get it. Define it.. define the sides....When there aren't any REAL sides.. Like guns are good, or guns are bad.. or Abortions are good and abortion are bad.. The Right is Good, or the Right is Bad......Who's kidding who? There's a created imaginary fence.. that puts you on side of good and bad.. when there is NO real good or real bad about it. It's just a continuum of people.....That bounces back and forth... someone can't handle the bounce.. so we draw a line between people. we build a fence between people.....It's not the same line for everybody..and fence is not the same height for everybody... Me, well.. I'm not going allow anyone to put me on a side.. So YES, I sit on the fence..and I see friends and enemies on each side. Again I keep saying it.. It's not about what you think, it about HOW you think about it.

This idea that a bullied student is going to become a lawbreaker is totally absurd. It is the bullies themselves who grow up to have issues, I was bullied as a youngster, dealt with depressions, found ways to deal with it and figured out that alcohol was not the solution it thus managed to become a law-abiding, productive citizen, Since I hung around with geeks, most of them did the same. Certainly anti-bullying training can help but so do sensible gun laws. That doesn't mean taking guns away from responsible gun owners.

The Right has got their ideas of what they are trying to save...that requires our destruction.... Your view of America determines what side your on... We were moving along just fine.. kind of the way it was suppose to go....But they didn't like it... So the only way to save their sanctimonious world.. was to destroy ours. They started it.. The destruction.... They drew the lines..they built the WALLS, on lies and anything else they could get their hands on...winning isn't just everything... to them it's only thing..but they have no idea what they are winning... Make America Great, Again......! The irony is America has always been Great.. until they came along... they just simply could not allow America to be America.. The irony is amazing....what they want to save... is what they want to change..To them it's always been the American underbelly...It's just been pushed down..they want to bring it back up again....Church/State, The elitism, the wealth, the power, the racism, the Oligarchy, the single party system, and that Right is Might......America..must go unchallenged. What they see is what they do....give Liberals an inch and they may take a mile..... Well for those people, you give them an inch and they WILL take a mile. To them an inch is a mile... They think we've taken over, and now they're fighting back...We haven't taken over....We've allow them to fight....They just decided they could not win.... fighting fair.. And NOW.... what we want to save... requires their destruction. So we point it to THEIR destruction.... we fight them.. to save "Our America". So, you see in the 'big" picture it's not about "guns and politics".... These Kids aren't trying to rob US.. we're robbing them.... It's about an America. that would put these Kids down.... Whether you think they are right or wrong.. doesn't matter.. It's their RIGHT.. It's what we stand for, it's what we taught them. If you see yourself as the RIGHT America.... try as you might, use all your might.... Lies, labels,prejudice, God, Patriotism, America for Americans......But if you just see... some shaved headed bitch, who's ethnically uncleansed.. standing up there and telling you what 's what.. and that you don''t have to listen.. You've already lost. Because if she is UnAmerican .. You don't have a clue what America is. We've come to point of making a decision.....what do you think America should be? Who are WE? When you decide.. then fight for it.....Because someone else is trying to make that decision for you......because someone else is fighting against you. It's why, NOW, there can be no unity, no compromise, no understanding...and if you don't stand up..NO DEMOCRACY
