Liberal Academia

Read an article about the situation currently on Colleges Campus.

It was a pretty fair article covering both side.

It blamed this particular election for the current situation.

Results of which have been the need for "safe places" now for those who are conservative. students

The reason is not the professors but the students themselves.

The reason cited for the student over reaction was the negativity on campus about Trump, caused by his own words.
To some extent, some professor were responsible, however they were not liberal professors but conservatives one (yes there are some conservative professor)

There was too much agreement of the negativity from conservative professors to balance the negative thought. As we look at the idea of Hillary winning this election as automatic, no where was it more evident than on college campuses.

what, in reality, could we expect from college students, With their kind of mindset.
The backlash in colleges, from perceived injustice is the most vehement. Again, it's misinterpreted about ideology.. Of course those that believe in Liberalism would be outraged by the ideology, but many were outraged by the injustice, they perceived, and the logic that didn't make sense.

College students reside in an idealistic world and not a real one. The article felt that this election only, was to blame. that student would return to more traditional view of ideologies.
However, I doubt that can happen without a continuing bias towards this particular election.

My irony again, is that the view some conservatives hold that Liberalism is a stronghold and has stranglehold on college campus. With this election, may end up having the result of just that.

We need to leave this alone, as another Vietnam is being search for on college campuses.

As far, as this dog goes.

As much a Liberals will try to keep it alive
Conservative need to let the dying dog die, and more importantly
Then, Let the dead dog lie.

The strange thing about colleges and ideology.

Is as soon as one see it as US against them, and they put college students on the other side.

they may not lose the argument today.

But it's guaranteed tomorrow they will.

As Hillary had the slogan 'Stronger together"

The interpretation, we all had, of what she meant. That together we can overcome the challenges our world presents US.

I see it differently now...

"Stronger Together"....... meaning the challenges we face within ourselves. A statement to the effect, that if we are together, the challenges our world presents, will take care of themselves.

It won't be long until Limbaugh is home eating oatmeal and soaking his swollen smelly feet and rational thinking returns to the American mainstream. Right now as we speak Sean Hannity is causing nightly vomiting so the disease will soon begin to wane.
I may not agree with phraseology, but the meaning certainly rings true.

well the article states that many conservative professors could condone nor explain Trumps words. there was no balance in the conversation at the University

Trying to help "you folks" through understanding become ridiculous. this article and my statements are not anti-conservative as to ideology.

today I will not respond to others here, who continue to try and get in my face. and make no comments about the blog subject but direct them to me.

May YOU see it, maybe you don't. I don't care..

At least, you didn't do it.

    Quoting  :

If 95% of Academia is Liberal. you don't have a chance to hold, to your ideas.

You'll see in the future, the effect of this particular election. although I disagree with you before this election that 95% of Academia was Liberal I believe that to now to be true.
I also agreed that Liberalism is a more idealistic view, dominating colleges. A change that could happen once these college students have to face the real world. But this election has become deep seated in the college mind, much harder to change.

Where I think your wrong is that the education method, and things actually taught in college reflect only Liberal views. Most College students have always been Liberal, no matter the institution, because Liberal views are far more idealistic. College student like to think they can do anything and accomplish anything. That is until.... they are no longer college students

In the 60's and 70's colleges filled with hippies, What do you think happen to them?. the Vietnam War made them the Liberals of today.
This elections will create the Liberals of tomorrow.
You just don't understand, you can throw ideology out the window, it doesn't matter. It really didn't matter in this election, and more importantly it won't matter in future elections. Keeping sticking your head in your SMALL group of Ideologues, outside of that, it's disappearing.
