The elections over.. what Now?

Of course people who vote for Trump are happy, people who didn't aren't unhappy.

But we need to forget that for second and start anew. The election is over Trump won. It's over.

From time it was over, til now, what Trump has done as President elect, regardless of whether or not you voted for him.... Who's happy about it?

I say once you get over the elation of the victory, very few people are happy.

Now, I don't think the way most of you think. I try to see beyond the obvious.

First I think Trump is a smart guy, maybe not all upfront honest, but a smart guy anyway.

He knows how you're suppose start and to do a job, to your best benefit.

As most of you get a new job, you put your best forward.. You're going show them what you can do..... Bad idea.... You should only do what's expected and no more.
As you get into the job you work your way up to your best foot forward and your best effort. It's a matter of expectations of your employer, go great guns to start and the employers expects it, if you can't maintain you could be in trouble.

Well like I said I think Trumps a smart fellow., unhappiness now from everyone is a good thing... he can only make them happy. If they are already happy he can only cause them to lose it.

Low expectations bring happiness, High expectations bring misery.

So i think Trump is starting a new job, That's obvious,
But the job of getting elected is gone, it doesn't mean a thing to him.

so just kiss all your ideas goodbye.. it's a whole new ballgame for Trump.
He's the coach, he's got new team and he's starting new season, and before he starts he going make sure the fans have low expectations.

I just can't see how anyone isn't afraid of Trump since the election. He's got business conflicts of interests all over the world that would affect any foreign policy decision he makes, yet to distract attention from all his conflicts, he tweets out petty insults every night knocking Saturday Night Live, the cast of Hamilton, CNN journalists. He won the election yet still tweets that is was rigged? Now he wants to take away freedom of speech and revoke the citizenship or jail people for a year if they burn a flag?? He brags Apprentice-style that many high profile people are vying for top positions with him but only he knows who'll be the "winner".

Now he says he's going to go on a Victory Tour and hold more big rallies. More rallies even though he hasn't had one press conference since the election and is not attending daily national security briefings.

Deborahsu is right that we need to support Trump, and of course those who pray could pray. We all want the best for the American people. But since the Repubs now have control of the House, the Senate, the White House, and soon the Supreme Court, now more than ever people have got to keep their eyes and ears open. Trump has multi million dollar business interests in countries all over the world and says he has no plans to sell these businesses. These businesses are in countries that hold mortgages on his buildings, countries he will be making important deals and U.S. national security decisions about. He hasn't held one press conference since the election so obviously Trump doesn't want journalists asking questions.

I agree Bijou Trump is terrified of journalists asking questions...he has far too much to hide. There's no way he doesn't have a conflict of interests when he will be making decisions that affect other countries.

The very least harm he can do to "his" country is to turn the rest of the world against it. He does not give a hoot for anything but his own interests.
The man's the greatest danger the world...let alone America... has ever seen.
At first I thought he should at least be given a chance...but, looking at the people he is putting into key positions in his cabinet, has changed my mind.

It's a disaster!

Forget political ideology... it doesn't matter.

WE have a elected a man.

it's the man, and what he shown himself to be as a man. That's disheartening.

What he is, as a man, doesn't translate to the country

It's not his ideology that has brought out the cockroaches but what he is as a man.

And i don't fear the cockroaches either.

Kiss all your ideas about what's going to happen goodbye. No matter which side your on.

Fear of the unknown... I get it
But I don't do it, not in this case.

We don't know what Trumps going to do....none of us do... I don't even know if he does.

I believe the election was the ELECTION.. and doesn't mean a damn thing. he won, that was his goal, he was going to do whatever it took to accomplish that. The meaning of things he said and done.. had no meaning.

I believe that the President of the United States, is just as much a puppet just as a puppeteer. We have a system that controls his power.
So its not Trump to be feared....It's Congress and the Supreme court. that together, actually unbalances Trumps power.

So what do i actually fear...

I fear the Mike Pences and the Paul Ryans
I fear ideologues, who ideology outweighs everything
I fear a Supreme court, in which politicians would choose it to become a puppet
.

There is an interesting talk on u-tub by the guy who wrote Trump's biography.

He spent a lot of time with Trump, listening in on his business deals, and interviewing people who dealt with Trump.

He says the only decent characteristic Trump has is perseverance. He never gives up. But his attention span is short, and he is not very smart. The author doubts Trump will be able to handle the depth and length of presidential briefings.

Problem is that his energy is only directed at what is good for Trump.

He lies, cheats, exercises hyperbole without a single qualm.

We have certainly seen the lying constantly in practice during the election campaign.

exactly,

It's the man that's the problem, not his ideology (whatever that is).

but we know the man will invade the ideology. That's the problem we are confronted with.

    Quoting  :

I sure hope not,

It's one of those Supreme court issues, that I fear so much, that ideology will circumvent sanity.

A narrow-minded people wishing to take away rights

Rights, who abuses should result in consequences.

What's the consequences from burning the flag?

Well there aren't any.

Unless you consider, peoples feelings getting hurt.
And people who can't stand up for their own beliefs, without shutting down the beliefs of others.

He won't be able to get away with it, unless we let him......

But then again isn't that exactly what we have done.

As his potential deals go sour, and people come to say he used his office to blackmail, like Hillary pay for play.. will we believe it.

Like we believed, the woman who came out to explain his grouping of them.

Like we believed, The contractors who work for him and he never paid

Like we believed, the people who attended his university, who got hornswoggled

Like we believe his tax returns, his marriage, and all his other lies.

That is indeed exactly what Americans fear.
Yes, there are bigger sharks out there than Donald Trump!

He has just move from his little pond, to the ocean of ideological politics.

He will get swallowed up...guaranteed.
