Hawks and Doves [SIZE 3]Well it's a new year, and time to reevaluate and oneself before jumping on others. Whether someone has banned me from their bog or prevented me from responding. I have never taken it personally...it's their right and their right doesn't necessarily make me wrong. I was taken back today, and couldn't help but try and revaluate myself and reassess what I may have done to have Hawkslayer prevent me from responding to his blog. For once I was totally caught off guard. This site has become a festering of judgment, personal attacks, and self righteousness it should not be surprising that anyone here, by the pure nature of just being here couldn't fall into that trap. Having to visit here wearing a coat of armor, and feeling the need to be armed to the teeth is just not what I bought into. It was great to see Vec post today....Darlin.. there'll always be a pine for me in Georgia. It's sad......but all things must come to an end..... To me this is the beginning of the end. SEEMS I NEED TO RECALL THE SUNNY DAYS AND FACES THE REASON FOR IT ALL THE WHY IT GOES TO PLACES FOR IN THE DARKENING OF THE SKIES AND THE RAIN THAT WILL COME DOWN THE WHETHER OF THE WHERE'S AND WHY'S AND IF THE TEMPORARY CAN BE FOUND AND SHOULD I GO TO MY OUTSIDE? WITH RAINCOAT AND UMBRELLA ON WITH HOPE THE RAIN WILL SUBSIDE AND AGAIN THE SUN TO LOOK UPON THE SUNNY FACES HAVE DISAPPEARED JUST A FEW GLIMPSES NOW AND THEN HOLDING ON WOULDN'T SEEM SO WEIRD IF SUNNY DAYS COULD COME AGAIN EVER DARKENING SKY CAN TELL IT'S LIE THAT CHANGE IS IN THE SEASON A DIFFERENT PLACE, A DIFFERENT TIME A DIFFERENT LOOK TO FIND A REASON. |

Hi Jiminy: Finding out someone has blocked you from reading or replying to their blogs is a strange feeling, especially if you've always been nice to the person and have no idea whatsoever why they blocked you. Maybe Alfie will see this blog and let you know what happened. It happened to me recently, so on someone else's blog I asked the person why they blocked me. They replied to say that I am always insulting them, which is just not true as every word I've ever written in this group is visible for anyone to see and there's not even one insult written to that person anywhere.

BIJOU, MY GUESS IS THAT ALFIE IS JUST FED UP, AND HAS ENOUGH FRIENDS TO ONLY LET THEM REPLY. I DID NOT TAKE IT PESRONALLY, HOWEVER I DON'T DISMISS THAT COULD BE A SLIM POSSIBILITY. THERE ARE STILL SOME PEOPLE HERE, THAT TO JUDGE THEIR MOTIVE AS PERSONALLY NEGATIVE ARE BUT A REFLECTION OF ONESELF, THAN IT'S A REFLECTION OF THAT PERSON. . ALFIE IS CERTAINLY ONE OF THOSE STILL LEFT HERE THAT WOULD NOT INTENTIONALLY ATTACK.

I can assure you jiminy that I have never blocked you from my blogs. It has to be another SFF foul-up. I always enjoy reading both your interesting blogs and your canny comments, please let me know if this ever happens again. Regards, Alfie...

Couple that with an occasional agreement with the "other" side and you are labeled from here to eternity. This site has become a beacon of what's wrong with this country. The labeling, the distrust, faulty perceptions, and even hatred is our downfall no matter the side or the subject matter.

Alfie, I had to think about it......and I came to same conclusion. But then, I have known myself to be wrong before....So as much as I didn't take it personally, in a way it was good that I had to reevaluate myself. It is not by your reason, or the site's mistake that I became upset, It was through my own reasoning. You and Abele, Ane, Vec, Robyn and my poet tree friends are all that's left that give this site some sanity.

mrs joe, thank you for stopping by, it's easy to understand the negativism, it's just hard to live with. Most of us, I think forgive first and then when that doesn't work simply ignore. Some, however, cannot forgive and must pay back, in so doing never ignore and only go looking for the pay back. You and I may not agree on some things, but I never think of you as a person to ignore.

JKH, Thank you for being civil. I don't care about getting blocked and never would try to prevent it. I'd like to think that everyone has a right to their opinion, yet I have the right not to listen to it. Although, I had placed you on my ignore list, maybe this new year I should make a new start.

Rosie, I love hearing from you. You have stayed and in a way give hope to a better place. For those that stay give meaning to what they say, and that those that go never really know. I remember when........ You brought sunshine and others called it rain. Happy New Year to you too!
