Freckles Where did it go? That freckled face Did he ever know? It's a unique place Now it's all faded into the past With a heart that jaded wishes granted, at last Was it time to heal or was it just fate To spot what's real Not see it too late Days in the sun Added so much more Days of making fun Gone out the door A mistake of identity The desire to get rid Was it a blemished entity? Freckles or the freckled face The illusion uncovered that it wasn't so bad As now he's discovered He misses what he had Those devil's bruises Were hits not misses And spots that he loses Were but angel kisses
