Love Perfected

Things appear not good enough
Only when it's perceived
The need to get certain stuff
Like loving what's received

The telling of the hour
When love loses the I do
The struggle for the power
The beginning of undo

Changes, no change at all
When under your control
Having a strong hand in all
Just places love on hold

A gift measured in value
That the heart did not send
What's not done, you didn't do
What's real and what's pretend

These things and such
Say more, than what they mean
Not how, but how much
Not felt, but just seen

Distruction of a relationship changing
In the light of the mirror reflected
The truth is a measure of the rearranging
In the attempt of love perfected
