FEAR

I fear love
for in love I am seen
I fear Christmas
for what has been

I fear compassion
for then I must give
I fear the truth
for it's where I must live

I fear friendship
to be a good friend
I fear hope
It must come to an end

I fear empathy
to walk in your shoes
I fear tomorrow
that today I will lose

I fear trust
to then be betrayed
I fear God
unanswered, I prayed

I fear happiness
for impending misery
I fear fear
to be all, I can be
