A tribute to OUR FRIEND "MusicMusicMusic"

As I write this blog I am listening to the CD of this very special man......

Fred, known to us all as MusicMusicMusic, is one of the treasures of SFF! Those of us who've been privileged to meet and know him probably never would have, were it not for this "crazy place". I've made many many friends here over the years but he is ONE OF THE VERY BEST!

In view of all the "bash bashing" we've heard here of late, I felt led to share this info with you all as tribute to a great man and the good things that happen at our gatherings!

I have met with him several times and even got to sing gospel songs with him in Nashville a few years ago.

He has shared numerous of his recordings with me through the years, but this one is very special.....in that it is a legacy to his two daughters and eight grand .

Fred came to the US in 1966 having been deeply involved with "Youth for Christ" while in India. He formed a group of singers who performed throughout the Midwest presenting the message of Christ. He has worked with music departments of churches...performed as a "one man band" on his keyboard .....polishing his skills in both the "big band" and "gospel" fields.

You may acquire his CD through him. I can't give you the information here but for those who really are interested, I'm sure you'll "find a way"!

I close with Fred's words, taken from the CD insert, "I want (this CD) to encourage the person who is trying to understand the Christian lifestyle and help them see that there is a balance and a very practical side to Christianity that can be lived out despite contrary viewpoints. As one of my songs says: 'Sometimes He calms the storms that would tear my life apart, He says 'Be Still' and all is changed, And sometimes He lets the storm rage on with its fury and its might, And it's then (instead) He calms His ......."

I, for one, am so happy and privileged to know this incredible human being and "man of God"!

I have had the honor of meeting Fred, listen to him sing and play at St Pete. We are fortunate to have in our home to enjoy many CD's of his.

Like others this would not have happened had it not been for SFF. Fred is an honorable man and know he has enriched our lives.

I was involved in putting on a bash in San Diego to be held on Sept 17th. 86 were to attend. The weekend prior was the 9/11 tragedy. 17 were able to make it and MMM was one of them. My friend at the time was working at a convalescent home and asked Fred if he might consider putting on a show for the residents.

Fred brought all of his equipment and stayed the night with us. He put on a show that lasted all afternoon. He made some terminally ill people feel good.

Fred was one of the first people I met in chat when I first joined 3yrs ago and his "larger than life" personality is very endearing although I haven't had the privilege of meeting him in person. His love of life and people definitely shows. I wish him well!
