Friday Photo : A Very Old Tree

This is my favourite tree. It is located in the surburban village of Ranelagh, in Dublin, where I lived for two years before meeting and marrying Billy.

I've never seen another tree whose bark looked as old, gnarled and wrinkled as this one, it must be one of the oldest trees in Ireland, or anywhere else for that matter. and many is the time I took shelter under it from the rain.

The close up pictures were taken on 4th July this year. The other one was taken by Billy on 18th April.

The positive is there. Sometimes it's just hard to find.
